One thynge haue I desyred of the Lorde, which I wyll requyre: namelye, that I maye dwel in the house of the Lorde all the dayes of my lyfe, to beholde the fayre beutye of the Lorde, and to viset his temple.

But whosoeuer shall drinke of the water that I shall geue hym, shall neuer be more a thyrste: but the water that I shall geue him, shall be in him a well of water, springinge vp into euerlasting lyfe.

This is lyfe eternall that they myghte knowe, the that onely very God, and whome thou haste sente Iesus Christ.

But as for me, I wil beholde thy presence in righteousnes: and when thy glory appeareth, I shall be satisfied.

What shall it profite a man, if he shoulde wynne all the worlde, and lowse his owne soule?

Therfore do I crye vnto the, O Lorde, & say: thou art my hope and my porcion in the londe of the liuing.

I cal to recorde thys daye vnto you, heauen and earth, that I haue set before you life and death, blessynge & cursinge: but chose lyfe, that thou, and thy sede may liue,

I haue chosen the way of truth, thy iudgementes haue I layed before me.

Take hede therfore how ye heare. For who soeuer hath, to hym shall be geuen: And whosoeuer hath not, from hym shal be taken, euen that same which he supposeth that he hath.

But God sayed vnto hym: Thou fole, thys nyghte wyll they fetche awaye thy soule agayne from the. Then whose shall these thinges be which thou haste prouyded?

Thy testimonyes haue I claymed as myne heritage for euer: and why? thei are the very ioye of my herte.

A certayne man was sicke, named Lazarus of Bethania, the toune of Marye and her syster Martha.

and manye of the Iewes were come to Martha and Marye to comforte them ouer theyr brother.

Then toke Mary a pounde of oyntment called Nardus, perfecte and precyous, and annoynted Iesus fete, and wepte hys fete with her heare, and the house was fylled wyth the sauoure of the oyntmente.
