And he sayde vnto them: Ye are they whiche iustifye your selues before men: but God knoweth your hertes. For that which is highly estemed amonge men, is abhominable in the syght of God.

That no man is iustifyed by the lawe in the syght of God, is euydente. For the iuste shall lyue by fayth.

Yf Abraham were iustifyed by dedes, then hath he wherein to reioyce but not with god.

But let the straunger that dwelleth wyth you, be as one of youre selues, & loue hym as thy selfe, for ye were straungers in the lande of Egypt. I am the Lorde your God.

For they are ignoraunte of the ryghteousnes whiche is alowed before God, and go aboute to stablish theyr owne ryghtuousnes, and therfore are not obediente vnto the ryghtuousnes whiche is of valoure before God.

Ye se then how that of dedes a man is iustifyed, and not of fayth onely.

But Eliu the sonne of Barachell the Bussite of the kinred of Ram, was very sore displeased at Iob, that he called him felfe iust before God.

And he called the people vnto hym, wyth his disciples also, and sayde vnto them: Whosoeuer will folowe me, let hym forsake hym self, and take vp his crosse and folow me.
