Thomas aunswered and said vnto hym: My Lord and my God:

that nothing be done thorowe stryfe or vaine glorye, but that in mekenes of mynde euerye man esteme other better then him selfe,

for vnto you is borne this day in the citye of Dauid, a sauioure whiche is Christe the Lorde.

Then she fell on her face, and bowed her selfe to the grounde and sayde vnto him: howe is it that I haue founde grace in thyne eyes, to know me, seyng: I am an alyaunt.

Whyle he yet talked to the people: beholde his mother and his brethren stode without, desyrynge to speake with hym.

and cryed wyth a loude voice, and sayde: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the frute of thy wombe.

For lo, assone as the voice of thy salutacion sounded in myne eares, the babe sprange in my bellye for ioye.
