And he shal stand before Eleazar the prieste which shal axe councel for him after the iudgement of Vrim before the Lorde. And at the mouthe of Eleazar shall both he and all the chyldren of Israell with him and al the congregation go in and out.
And euen there at the water besyde Ahaua, caused I a fastynge to be proclamed, that we myghte humble oure selues before oure God, to seke of him a ryght waye for vs, and oure chyldren and all oure substaunce.
And Dauid asked of the Lorde sayinge: shal I go to the Philistines? & wilt thou delyuer them into my handes? And the Lorde sayde vnto Dauid: go for I wyll delyuer the Philistines into thy handes.
And Phinehes the sonne of Eleazar, the sonne of Aaron waytyng vpon it at that time, & they sayd: shal we go out any more to battel agaynst the children of Beniamin oure brethren, or shal we cease? And the Lord said go: for to morowe I wil deliuer them into youre handes.
After thys Dauid asked the Lorde saying: shal I go vp into any of the cytyes of Iuda? And the Lord sayde: go. And Dauid aunswered: Whyther shall I go? He aunswered: vnto Hebron.
And the children of Israel arose & went vp to Bethel, and asked of God, who shoulde begynne to battel agaynste the children of Beniamin, and the Lorde sayd: Iuda shal beginne.
And thou shalt put in the brestlappe of iudgement Vrim & Thumim: that they be euen vpon Aarons hert when he goeth in before the Lord & Aaron shall beare the ensample of the chyldren of Israell vpon his herte before the Lorde alwaye.
And these bottelles of wyne, whiche we fylled were newe, and se, they be rente. And these oure garmentes and shoes are waxen olde by the reason of the exceading long Iourneye.
