so that there was not one worde of all that Moses commaunded, whyche Iosua reade not, before all the congregacyon of Israell, wyth women and chyldren, and the straungers that were amonge them.
Gather the people togyther: both men, women, and children, & the straungers that are in thi cityes that they may heare, learne, & fear the Lord your God, & be diligent to kepe al the words of thys lawe,
And Esdras the prieste broughte the lawe before the congregacyon bothe of men and wemen, and of all that coulde vnderstande it, vpon the fyrste daye of the seuenthe moneth,
Thus sayeth the Lorde: Stand in the courte of the Lordes house, and speake vnto all them whiche (oute of the cyties of Iuda) come to do worshyppe in the Lordes house, all the wordes that I commaunde the to saye. Loke that thou kepe not one worde backe,
And when the dayes were ended, we departed and went our wayes, & they al brought vs on our way, with theyr wyues and children, tyll we were come out of the citye. And we kneled doune in the shore and prayde.
When Iesus sawe that he was displeased, and sayed to them. Suffer the chyldren to come vnto me, and forbyd them not. For of suche is the kyngdom of God.
and gather the people together: warne the congregacyon, gather the elders, brynge the chyldren & suckelynges together. Let the brydgrome go forth of his chambre, & the bryde oute of her closet.
And when Esdras prayed after this maner, & knowledge, wept & laye before the house of God, there resorted vnto hym oute of Israel a very great congregacion of men and wemen, & chyldren: for the people wepte very sore.
Ye shall put nothynge vnto the worde whych I commaunde you nether do ought therfrom, that ye maye kepe the commandementes of the Lord your God which I commaunde you.
Thus sayeth the Lorde of Hostes: In that tyme shal ten men (out of al maner of languages of the Gentiles) take one Iew by the hemme of his garment, and saye: we wyl go with you, for we haue hearde, that God is amonge you.
and red therein in the strete that is before the watergate, from the mornynge vntyll the noone daye before men and wemen, and suche as coulde vnderstand it: and the eares of all the people were inclined vnto the boke of the lawe.
