And they sayde vnto Iosua: the Lorde hathe delyuered into oure handes all the lande, for all the inhabyters of the countreye faynt for feare of vs.

& went doune from Ianoah to Ataroth & Naarath, and met at Iericho, & went out at Iordan.

And these are the cytyes of the trybes of the chyldren of Beniamin in theyr kynredes: Iericho, Bethhaglah, and the valeye of Kaziz,

When it was tolde Dauid he sent against them (for they were men excedyngly ashamed) & saide: tarye at Iericho vntyll your beerdes be growen, & then returne.

Then sayde Eliah to Elizeus: tary here a felowship, for the Lorde hath sent me to Iericho. And he sayde: as surely as the Lorde lyueth, and as surely as thy soule lyueth, I will not leaue the, and so they went to Iericho.
