the water that came doune from aboue dyd stoppe and stode vpon an heape, a great waye from Adam, a cytye besyde Zarthan. And the water that wente doune vanyshed into the sea of the wyldernes called the salte sea as sone as it was deuyded: & the people went ryght ouer agaynst Ierycho.

And as sone as the sooles of the fete of the priestes that beare the arcke of Iehouah (the Lord of al the world) treade in the water of Iordan, the water of Iordan shall deuyde it selfe: and the waters that commeth from aboue shall stande styll vpon an heape.

And in the playne of Iordan dyd the kynge cast them; euen in the claye of the earth betwene Socoh and Zarthan.

Thy waye was in the sea, and thy pathes in the greate waters, yet coulde noman know thy fotesteppes.

Thou diggest vp welles and brokes, thou dryest vp myghty waters.

He turned the sea into drye lande, so that they wente thorow the water on fote: therefore wyll we reioyse in him.

The Lord stilleth the water floud, and the Lord remaineth a king for euer.

And their suthcoastes were from the brinck of the salt sea, and from a certain poynte of the sea, that leaneth southwarde.

and the feldes and Iordan with the coaste, from Ceneroth euen vnto the sea in the feld which is the salt sea vnder the springes of Phasgah the eastwarde.

When now Moses stretched forth hys hande ouer the sea, the Lorde caryed awaye the sea wt a stronge east wynde that blewe all nyghte, & made the sea drye land and the water deuyded it selfe.

He gathereth the waters together as it were in a bottell, and layeth vp the depe in secret.

What ayled the, O thou sea, that thou fleddest so thou Iordan, that thou turnedest backe?

For why wolde no man receyue me, when I came and when I called, no man gaue me aunswere. Was my hande clene smyten of, that it might not helpe? or had I not power to delyuer? lo, at a worde I drincke vp the sea, and of water floudes I make drye lande: so that for want of water, the fysh corruppe and dye of thurst.

Then sayde he vnto me: This water that floweth oute towarde the East, and runneth downe in to the playne felde, commeth in to the sea: and from the sea it runneth out, & maketh the waters whole,

When he reproueth the sea, he drieth it vp, and turneth all the floudes to drye lande. Basan is desolate, Charmel & the pleasure of Lybanus wasteth awaye.

Waste thou not angrye, O Lorde, in the waters? was not thy wrathe in the floodes, and thy displeasure in the sea? yes when thou sattest vpon thyne horse, & when thy charettes had the vyctory.

And the chyldren of Israel went in thorow the myddest of the sea vpon the drye ground. And the water was a walle vnto them, both on their ryghthand & on their lefte hande.

But the chyldren of Israel went vpon drye lande in the myddest of the sea, & the water was a walle vnto them: both on the ryghte hande of them and also on the lefte.

Wyth the breth of thyne anger the water gathered to gether and the floddes stode styl as a rocke, and the depe water congeled to gether in the myddest of the sea.

shewe your chyldren and saye: Israel came ouer thys Iordan on drye lande.

And when al the kinges of the Amorites which are on thys syde Iordan to the seaward, & al the kinges of the Cananites which lye on the sea hearde, howe the Lorde had dryed vp the water of Iordan before the chyldren of Israel, vntyl they were ouer, theyr hertes faynted in them. And there was no sprete in them any more, for feare of the commynge of the chyldren of Israel.

And in the playne vnto the sea of Ceneroth eastward, and vnto the sea in the playne called the salt sea eastwarde, the waye to Beth, Iesymoth and by south vnder the sprynges of phasgah.

& went doune from Ianoah to Ataroth & Naarath, and met at Iericho, & went out at Iordan.

And as the thre hundreth blew wyth trompettes, the Lorde set euerye mannes swerde vpon hys neyghboure, thorow out all the hoste. And the hoste fleed vntyll they came to Bethsitah, to Zererath, & to the edge of Abelmeholah besyde Tabath.

He deuided the sea & let them go thorowe it, & made the waters to stande like a wall.
