But the countreye that pertayned the cytye and the villages therof, they gaue to Caleb the sonne of Iephune, to be his possession.

In the trybe of Iuda Caleph the sonne of Iephune.

And they gaue them Kariath Arbe of the father of Enack, whych is Hebron, in the hyll countrey of Iuda, wyth the suburbes of the same rounde about it.

And thus they gaue to the chyldren of Aaron the pryeste the fraunchesed cytyes of the slear, Hebron wyth her suburbes, and Lybna wyth her suburbes,

we came a rouynge vpon the south of Cerethis and vpon them of Iuda and on the south of Caleb. And we burnt Zikeleg with fyre.
