Zela, Eleph, and the cytye of the Iebusites, whyche is Ierusalem, Gabaath, and Kariath, fourtene cytyes wyth theyr vyllages. Thys is the enherytaunce of the chyldren of Beniamin in their kynredes.
and buried them with the bones of Saul and Ionathas his sonne in the countrey of Beniamin, in Zela, in the sepulchre of Cis his father. And when they had performed all that the Kynge commaunded, God was then at one with the lande.
And then went vp to the valeye of the sonne of Hennon, euen vnto the southsyde of the Iebusites the enhabitoures of Ierusalem. And then went vp to the toppe of the hylle, that lyeth before the valeye of Hennon westwarde, and by the edge of the valeye of Raphaim northwarde:
O Israel, thou hast synned as Gabaa did afore tyme, where they remayneth, shoulde not the battel then come vpon the wicked children, as wel as vpon the Gabaonites?
Then sayde Dauid the same day. Whosoeuer wynneth the walles and the lame & the blinde hated of Dauids soule. Wherfore the blynd & the lame shall not come into the house.
and cometh doune to the edge of the hyll that lyeth before the valeye of the sonne of Hennon, whyche is in the valeye of Raphaim northwarde, and desceuded thorowe the valeye of Hennon vnto the syde of Iebusi southwarde, and goeth doune to the well of Rogell.
But the Iebusites that were the enhabiters of Ierusalem: the chyldren of Iuda could not caste oute. Wherfore the Iebusites dwelle among the children of Iuda vnto this daye.
And ye shall deuyde the enheritaunce of the land by lot amonge youre kynredes, and geue to the mo the moare enheritaunce, and to the fewer the lesse enherytaunce. And youre enheritaunce shalbe in the trybes of youre fathers, in the place where euery mans lott falleth.
These are the chyldren of BenIamin in their kynredes: Bela, of whome cometh the kinred of the Belaites: & of Asbel cometh the kynred of the Asbelites: and of Ahiram, the kinred of the Ahiramites:
And the seconde lot came out vnto the trybe of the chyldren of Simeon by their kynredes. And their enheritaunce felle in the myddes of the enheritaunce of the children of Iuda.
Then went the Kynge and hys men to Ierusalem, vnto the Iebusytes the enhabyters of the lande. And they sayde vnto Dauid: excepte thou take awaye the blynde & the lame thou shalt not come in hyther, meanyng therby that Dauid shulde not haue come in thyther.
Come out of Ierusalem, ye strong children of Ben Iamin: blowe vp the trompettes ye Tecuytes, set vp a token vnto Bethcarem, for a plage and a greate myserye pepeth oute from the Northe.
And the chyldren of Ben Iamin dyd not caste oute the Iebusites that enhabyted Ierusalem, but the Iebusites dwell wyth the chyldren of Ben Iamin in Ierusalem, vnto thys daye.
Neuerthelater the man would not tary, but arose and departed and came as ferre as Iebus, which is Ierusalem, and his two asses laden, and hys concubyne and his lad with hym.
