And Iosua toke the whole land accordynge to all that the Lorde sayde vnto Moses, and gaue it a possessyon vnto Israel, euerye man his parte in their trybes, and the lande rested from warre.
And it came to passe a long ceason after that the Lorde had geuen reste vnto Israel from all theyr enemyes rounde aboute, that Iosua waxed olde and was strycken in yeares.
And now the Lord hath geuen reste vnto youre brethren as he promised them. Wherfore returne and go vnto youre tentes & vnto the lande of youre possessyon, whych Moses the seruaunt of the Lord gaue you on the other syde Iordan.
Therfore when the Lord thy God hath geuen the reast from al thyne euemyes rounde aboute, in the lande whych the Lord thy God geueth the to enheret and possesse: se that thou put oute the name of Amalech from vnder heauen, and forget not.
kepe al that I commaund the thys daye, and beholde: I wyll caste out before the the Amorytes, Canaanites, Hethytes, Pherezites, Heuites, and Iebusites.
And the chyldren wente in, and possessed the lande, and thou subdudest before them the inhabyters of the lande, euen the Cananites, & gauest them into theyr hande, & theyr kynges and the people of the lande, that they myghte do with them what they wolde.
This shalbe hys owne lande in Israell, that my prynces be no more chargeable vnto my people. And soch as remayneth yet ouer in the lande, shalbe geuen to the house of Israell accordynge to their trybes.
These are the Kynges of the countrey, which Iosua and the chyldren of Israel smote on this syde Iordan, westwarde, from Baal, Gad in the valeye of Lybanon, euen vnto mount Halak, that goeth vp to Seir. And Iosua gaue the lande vnto the trybes of Israell to possesse, to euery man his parte,
