Matthew's Bible 1537

let not the boke of thys lawe departe out of thy mouthe: But recorde therein daye & night that thou mayest be circumspect to do accordyng to all that is wrytten therein. For then shalt thou make thy waye prosperouse, & then thou shalt haue vnderstandyng.

I wyl exercise my selfe in thy commaundementes, and haue respect vnto thy fotepathe

Yea the words of my mouth and the meditacion of my herte shalbe acceptable vnto the, O Lorde, my helper and my redemer.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you plenteouslye in all wysdome. Teache and exhorte youre owne selues, in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songes, whiche haue fauoure with them, singinge in your hertes to the Lorde.

Whosoeuer heareth of me these sayinges and doethe the same, I wyll lyken hym vnto a wyse man which buylt hys housse on a rocke

Yf ye vnderstande these thynges, happye are ye yf ye do then.

Aboue all thynge be strong and harden thy selfe, to obserue & to do, accordynge to all the lawes which Moses my seruaunt commaunded the. Tourne there from nether to the ryght hand nor to the lefte: that thou mayest haue vnderstandynge in all thou takest in hande

But the worde is verye nye vnto the: euen in thy mouth, & in thyne hert, that thou do it.

Oh that they had such an hert wyth them to feare me and kepe al my commaundementes alway, that it myght go wel with them & with theyr children foreuer.

I haue more vnderstandyng then all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my studye.

I wyll make this couenaunt with them (sayeth the Lorde): My spirite that is come vpon the, and the wordes whyche I haue put in thy mouthe, shall neuer go out of thy mouthe, nor oute of the mouth of thy childers chyldren, from this tyme forth for euermore.

Take hede therfore that ye do as the lord your God hath commaunded you, & turne not a syde: either to the ryght hande or to the lyfte,

when all Israell is come to appeare before the Lord thy god, in the place which he hath chosen: se that thou read thys lawe before al Israel in theyr eares.

Let no fylthy communication procede out of your mouthes: but that whiche is good to edefye wyth all, when nede is: that it maye haue fauoure with the hearers.

A good man out of the good treasure of hys herte, bringeth forth good thinges. And an euill man out of his euill treasure, bringeth forth euil thinges.

I do not hyde thy ryghtuousnes in my hert, my talkinge is of thy trueth and sauing health: I kepe not thy louyng mercy & faythfulnesse backe from the greate congregacyon.

Teachyng then to obserue all thynges whatsoeuer I commaunded you, And lo I am with you alwaye, euen vntyll the ende of the worlde.

Blessed are they that do his commaundementes that theyr power maye be in the tree of lyfe, & maye enter in thorowe the gates into the cite.

& was gone out to walke in his meditations before the euen tide. And he lift vp his eyes & loked, and beholde the camels were comming.

When Moses had made an ende of writyng out of these wordes of the law in a boke vnto the ende of theim,

And after that he reade al the wordes of the lawe, both the blessinge and cursynge, accordinge to all that is wrytten in the boke of the lawe,

And Moses called vnto all Israel & said vnto them: Heare Israell the ordinaunces and lawes which I speake in thine eares this daye, & learne theim, & take hede that ye do them.

and toke thier lande and gaue it an herytaunce vnto the Rubenytes and Gadites & to the half tribe of Manasse Kep

And he soughte God, whyle Zachariah the teacher to se God lyued: and as longe as he sought the Lorde, God made him prospere.
