Matthew's Bible 1537

Then shall the mountaines droppe swete wyne, and the hylles shall flowe with mylcke. All the ryuers of Iuda shall haue water ynough, & out of the Lordes house there shal flowe a spryng to water the broke of Sitim:

In that tyme shal the waters of lyfe runne out from Ierusalem: the half parte of them toward the east sea, & the other half toward the vttermost sea, & shal continue both somer & winter.

Then shall the lame man leape as an herte, and the domme mans tunge shal geue thanckes. In the wyldernesse also there shall welles spryge, and floudes of water in the deserte.

Goodly ryuers shall flowe out of all hys mountaynes and hylles. In the daye of the greate slaughter when the towers shall fall,

Remembre (O my people) what Balach the kyng of Moab had Imagyned agaynst the, and what answeree that Balaam the sonne of Beor gaue hym, from Sethim vnto Galgal, that ye maye know the louyng kyndnesses of the Lorde.

For I shall pouer water vpon the drye grounde and ryuers vpon the thurstye. I shall poure my sprete vpon thy sede, and myne encerase vpon thy stocke.

The heauens aboue shall droppe downe, & the cloudes shall rayne ryghtuousnes. The earth shall open it self, & brynge forth health, & therby shall ryghtuousnes florishe. Euen I the Lorde shall brynge it to passe.

Come to the waters all ye, that be thurstye, & ye that haue no money. Come, bye, that ye maye haue to eate. Come bye wine & mylcke, without any money or money worth.

For ye shall sucke comforte oute of her brestes, and be satysfyed. Ye shall taste, and haue delite in the plenteousnesse of her power.

And they shal come, & reioyce vpon the hyll of Syon, and shall haue plenteousnes of goodes, whiche the Lorde shall geue them: Namely, wheate, wyne, oyle yonge shepe & calues. And theyr concyence shalbe as well watred garden, for they shal no more be hongrye.
