Blowe oute the trompet in Sion, & crye vpon my holy hyl, that al suche as dwell in the land, may tremble at it, for the daye of the Lorde commeth, and is harde at hande:

The ende of al thinges is at hande. Be ye therfore discrete and sober, that ye maye be apt to prayers.

Blowe oute with the trompet in Syon, proclame a fastynge, cal the congregacyon,

alas, alas, for thys daye. And why? the daye of the Lorde is at hand, and commeth as a destroyer from the almighty.

Thus shall ye knowe, that I the Lorde youre God dwell vpon my holy mounte of Syon. Then shall Ierusalem be holy, and there shall no straungers go thorowe her any more.

For marck, the day commeth, that shall burne as an ouen: and al the proude, yea and al such as do wickednesse, shalbe straw: and the daye that is for to come, shall burne them vp (sayeth the Lorde of hostes) so that it shall leaue them neyther rote nor braunche.

In that tyme shalte thou no more be confounded, because of all thy ymagynacyons, where thorow thou haddest offended me: for I wyll take awaye the proude boasters of thyne honoure from the, so that thou shalte no more tryumphe because of my holy hyll.

For the greate daye of the Lorde is at hande, it is harde by, and commeth on a pace. Horryble is the tydynges of the Lordes daye, then shall the gyaunte crye oute:

Feare ye not me, sayeth the Lorde? Are ye not ashamed, to loke me in the face? which bynde the sea wyth the sande, so that it can not passe hys boundes: For thoughe it rage, yet can it do nothynge, and thoughe the waues thereof do swell, yet maye they not go ouer.

As for these thynges, my hande had made them all, and they are all created, sayeth the Lorde. Whyche of them shall I then regarde? Euen hym, that is of a lowly troubled spyryte, and standeth in awe of my wordes.

for ye youre selues knowe perfectly that the daie of the Lorde shall come euen as a thefe in the nyght.

For the daye of the Lord is harde by vpon all the Heathen. Lyke as thou hast done, so shalt thou be dealte wythall, yee thou shalt be rewarded euen vpon thyne head.

Crye they oute alarum wyth the trompet in the cytye, and the people not afrayed? Commeth there anye plage in a cytye withoute it be the Lordes doynge?

Blowe wt the shawmes at Gabea, & with the trompet in Ramah, crye out at Bethaueu vpon the yonsyde of BenIamin.

The tyme commeth, the daye draweth nye: Who so byeth, lett hym not reioyce: he that selleth, let hym not be sory: for why. Trouble shall come in the myddeste of all reste:

Preache in Iuda and Ierusalem, crye out and speake: blow the trompettes in the land, crie that euery man may heare, and saye: Gather you together, and we will go into strong cyties.

Be ye also pacyent therfor, and setle your hertes, for the commynge of the Lorde draweth nye.

Wherfore my dearlye beloued, as ye haue alwayes obeyed, not when I was presente onelye, but nowe much more in myne absence euen so worke out your owne saluacion wt feare and trembling.

And he sayde: Amos, what seist thou? I answered: a maunde wyth sommer fruyte. Then sayde the Lorde vnto me: the ende commeth vpon my people of Israell, I wyll no more ouerse them.

Set the horne to thy mouthe, & blowe: get the swyftly (as an Aegle) vnto the house of the Lorde: for they haue broken my couenaunt, & transgressed my law.

the same man (whan he seyth the sweard come vpon the lande) shal blowe the trompet, and warne the people.

Tell them therfore: thus sayth the Lorde God: I wil make that by worde to ceasse, so that it shal no more be commonlye vsed in Israel. But saye this vnto them: The dayes are at hande, that euery thinge whiche hath bene prophecyed, shalbe fulfylled.

Beholde, the daye is here the daye is come, the houre is runne oute, the rodde florisheth, wylfulnesse waxeth grene,

As I was yet speakinge at my prayers, knoweledginge myne owne sinnes, and the synnes of my people, makinge so mine intercession before the Lorde my God, for the holye hils sake of my God:

O Lorde, and done wyckedly agaynste all thy ryghteousnes: yet let thy wrothfull displeasure be turned awaye (I beseche the) from thy cytye Ierusalem thy holy hill. And why? for oure synnes sake, and for the wickednesse of oure forefathers is Ierusalem and thy people abhorred, of all them that are aboute vs.

My commaundement is, in al my dominion & kingedome, that men feare and stande in awe of Daniels God. For he is the liuinge God, whiche abydeth euer: his kingedome shall not fayle, and hys power is euerlasting.

Agayne, yf the watch man se the swearde come and shewe it not wyth the trompet, so that the people is not warned: yf the sweard come then and take any man from amonge them, the same shall be taken awaye in hys owne sinne but hys bloude wyll I requyre of the watchemans hande.

Now when thou shewest thys people all these wordes, and they saye vnto the: Wherfore hath the Lorde deuysed all thys greate plage for vs? Or what is the offence & synne, that we haue done agaynst the Lord oure God?

There shal not one viset another, to mourne with them for their deed, or to comforte them. One shall not offre another the cuppe of consolacyon, to forget their heuynes for father & mother.

Heare the worde of God all ye, that feare the thynge whyche he speaketh. Your brethren that hate you, and cast you out for my names sake, saye: Let the Lorde magnyfye him selfe, that we may see youre gladnesse: and yet they shalbe confounded.

For the daye of the Lorde of Hostes shall go ouer all pryde & presumpcyon, vpon all them that exalte them selues, & shall brynge them all doune:

My flesh trembleth for feare of the, and I am afrayed of thy iudgementes.

When they blowe wt them, al the multitude shal resorte to the, vnto the dore of the tabernacle of wytnesse.

thus sayeth the Lord of hostes: I wil turne me agayne vnto Syon & wil dwell in the middest of Ierusalem: so that Ierusalem shalbe called a faythfull, and true cytie, the hyll of the Lorde of hostes, yea an holy hill.

And al Israel brought the Arcke of the Lordes couenaunt wyth shoutynge and blowynge of hornes, & with trompettes and symbales that sounded, and wyth psalteries and harpes.

And also yf the trompe geue an vncertaine voice, who shall prepare him selfe to fyght?

for the great day of his wrath is come: And who can endure it?

and the greshoppers wente vp ouer all the Land of Egypt and lyghted in all quarters of Egypte verye greuouslye: so that before theym were there no suche greshoppers, neither after them shal be.

for the daye is here, the daye of the Lorde is come: the darck daye of the Heathen, the houre is at hande,

The Lorde shall shewe his voyce before hys hoste, for hys hoste is greate, strong and myghtye to fulfyll hys commaundement. This is that greate and merueylous fearefull daye of the Lorde: And who is able to abyde it.

The sunne shalbe turned into darcknes, & the mone into bloude: before the greate & notable daye of the Lorde come.

In the valleye appoynted, there shalbe many, many people: for the daye of the Lorde is nye in the valleye appoynted.

Wo be vnto them that desyre the daye of the Lorde, Wherfore wold ye haue it? As for the daye of the Lorde, it shal be darcke and not cleare:

Beholde, the day of the Lorde commeth, that thou shalt be spoyled, & robbed:

Make the two trompettes of beaten syluer, that thou mayst vse them to call the congregacion together, & when the hoste shal iourney.

Mourne therfore, for the daye of the Lorde is at hande, & commeth as a destroyer from the Almyghtye.

For lo, the daye of the Lorde shall come, terrible, full of indignacion and wrathe, to make the lande waste, and to rote oute the synne therof.

Crie (O thou sonne of man) and howle, for this swerde shall smyte my people, & all the rulers in Israel, which with my people shall be slayne doune to the grounde thorow this swerde.

Be styll at the presence of the Lorde God, for the daye of the Lorde is at hande: yea the Lorde hath prepareth a slayne offerynge, and called hys gestes therto.
