Heare O ye elders, pondre this well, al ye that dwell in the lande, yf euer there happened suche a thynge in youre dayes, or in the dayes of youre fathers.

O ye priestes: hear this, take hede o thou houshold of Israel: geue eare, O thou kyngly house: for thys punyshemente will come vpon you, that are become a snare vnto Myzphah, and a spred net to the mount of Thabor.

O heare this ye rulers of the house of Iacob, and ye iudges of the house of Israell: ye that abhorre the thynge that is laufull, and wrayst asyde the thynge that is streyght.

Heare, O ye heades of the house of Iacob, & peleders of the house of Israel: Shulde not ye know what were lawfull and ryght?

Heare all ye people, marcke thys well O earth, and all that therin is: Yee the Lorde God hym selfe be wytnesse amonge you, euen the Lord from hys holy temple.

Heare thys worde, O ye house of Israel, & why I must make thys moue for you:

O heare thys worde ye fat kyne, that be vpon the hil of Samaria: ye that do poore men wronge, and oppresse the nedy: ye that saye to your Lordes: bring hyther, let vs drincke.

Heare, what the Lorde speaketh vnto you (O ye chyldren of Israel) namely, vnto all the tribes whome I broughte oute of Egypte, and sayd:

Proclame a fastynge, call the congregacyon, gather the elders & all the inhabiters of the lande together into the house of the Lord your God, & crye vnto the Lorde:

Heare the word of the lorde o ye children of Israel. For the lord must punish them, that dwel in the land. And why? There is no faithfulnes, there is no mercy there is no knoweledge of God in the lande:

The tyme wil come also, that the greate Prince Michael, which standeth on thy people syde, shal aryse vp, for there shall come a tyme of trouble, such as neuer was, sens there beganne to be any people, vnto that same time. Then shal thy people be deliuered, yea, al those that be found written in the boke.

Heare thys (thou folyshe and vndiscrete people) ye haue eyes, but ye se not: eares haue ye, but ye heare not.

Come ye Heithen & heare, take hede ye people. Herken thou earth & all that is therin: thou rounde compasse & all that groweth there vpon

The Lorde also shall sende a tyme vpon the, vpon thy people, and vpon thy fathers house (suche as neuer came sence the tyme that Ephraim departed from Iuda) thorowe the kynge of the Assyryans.

To the chaunter, a Psalme of the chyldren of Corah. O heare thys, all ye people: pondre it wel, all ye that dwel vpon the earth.

Wherfore do wicked men lyue in health and prosperite, come to their olde age, and increase in ryches?

Wyth vs are olde and aged men, ye suche as haue lyued longer then thy forfathers.

Amonge olde personnes there is wysdome, & amonge the aged is vnderstandinge.

Let him that hath eares heare, what the spirite sayeth vnto the congregacions. To him that ouercommeth, wyl I geue to eate of the tree of lyfe, whyche is in the middes of the Paradyse of God.
