But nowe ye reioyce in youre bostynges. All suche reioysing is euyl.

Make not thy boaste of to morow, for thou knowest not what maye happen to day.

Your reioysing is not good: knowe ye not that a lytle leuen sowreth the whole lompe of dowe.

Whoso maketh great boasts & geueth nothing, is like cloudes & wind without rain.

For all that is in the world (as the luste of the fleshe, the lust of the eyes, and the pryde of goodes) is not of the father, but of the world.
