Go to nowe ye that saye: to daye, and to morowe let vs go into suche a cytye and contynue there a yeare and bye and sel, and wynne:

Make not thy boaste of to morow, for thou knowest not what maye happen to day.

Then sayde I thus in my herte: Now go to, I will take myne ease and haue good dayes. But lo, that was vanitie also:

The tyme commeth, the daye draweth nye: Who so byeth, lett hym not reioyce: he that selleth, let hym not be sory: for why. Trouble shall come in the myddeste of all reste:

Then shal the pryeste be as the people, the mayster as the seruaunt, the dame lyke the mayde, the seller lyke the byer he that lendeth vpon vsurye, lyke vnto him that boroweth vpon vsury, the creditoure, as the detter.

Go to nowe ye ryche men. Weepe, and howle on your wretchednes that shal come vpon you.

and they that wepe be as though they wept not, and they that reioyse be as though they reioysed not: & they that bye, be as though they possessed not:

Well, I shall tell you how I wyl do with my vineyarde: I will take the hedge from it, that it maye perishe, & breake doune the wall, that it maye be troden vnder fote.

Come on, let vs descende, and myngle theyr tonge euen there, that one vnderstande not what another sayeth.
