Harken my deare beloued brethren. Hath not God chosen the pore of thys world, which are ryche in faythe, and heyres of the kyngedome whiche he promysed to them that loue hym?

And he lyfte vp his eye vpon the disciples, and sayde: Blessed be ye pore: for yours is the kyngdome of God.

I knowe thy workes and tribulacion and pouertye, but thou art rych: And I know the blasphemy of them, whiche call them selues Iewes and are not, but are the congregacion of Sathan.

Ye knowe the lyberalytie of oure Lorde Iesus Christe, whiche though he were ryche, yet for youre sakes became pore that ye thorowe hys pouertye myght be made ryche.

So is it with hym that gathereth ryches, and is not ryche in God.

to enioye an enherytaunce immortall & vndefyled, and that putryfyeth not, reserued in heauen for you,

Happy is the man that endureth in temptacyon, for when he is tryed, he shal receyue the croune of lyfe, which the Lorde hath promised to them that loue hym.

and estemed the rebuke of Christe greater ryches then the treasure of Egypte. For he had respect vnto the reward.

Feare not litel flocke, for it is your fathers pleasure, to geue you a kingdom.

But as it was written: The eye hath not sene, and the eare hath not hearde, neither haue entred into the herte of man the thinges, which God hath prepared for them that loue him.

Then shal the kinge saye to them on his right hand. Come ye blessed chyldren of my father, enheryte ye the kingdome prepared for you from the begynninge of the worlde.

He that ouercometh, shal inherete all thynges, & I wilbe his God, & he shall be my sonne.

Let the brother of low degre reioyce in that he is exalted,

From henceforth is layde vp for me a croune of ryghtuousnes which the Lorde that is a ryghtuous iudge shall geue me at that daye: not to me only, but vnto all them that loue hys comynge.

as sorowyng, & yet alway mery: as poore, and yet make many ryche: as hauynge nothynge, and yet possessynge all thynges.

I counsel the to bye of me golde tryed in the fyre, that thou mayest be ryche, and whyte raymente, that thou mayest be clothed, that thy fylthye nakednes do not appere, & annointe thine eyes wyth eye salue, that thou maiest se.

and that they do good and be ryche in good workes, and readye to geue and to distrybute,

But Abraham sayd vnto hym. Sonne, remembre that thou in thy lyfe tyme, receyuedest thy pleasure, and contrarywyse Lazarus payne. Nowe therfore is he conforted, and thou arte punyshed.

The blinde se, the halt go, the lepers are clensed: the deaf heare, the dead ryse againe, and the glade tydinges is preached to the poore.

Wherfore the Lorde God of Israel sayth: I sayde that thyne house and the house of thy father shulde haue walked before me for euer. But now the Lorde sayth: that be farre from me: for them that worshyppe me, I wyll worshyp, & they that despyse me, shalbe despised.

Yea and by this meanes an entringe in, shalbe minystred vnto you aboundantlye into the euerlastinge kingdome of oure Lorde and sauiour Iesus Christ.

And the Lord shall delyuer me from all euyll doynge, and shall kepe me to his heauenly kyngdome. To whom be prayse for euer and euer, Amen.

whiche is a token of the ryghtuouse iudgement of God that ye are counted worthye of the kyngdome of God, for whiche ye also suffer.

Vnto me the leaste of all sainctes is this grace geuen, that I shoulde preache amonge the Gentyls the vnsearcheable ryches of Christe,

Yf we be sonnes, we are also heyres, the heyres I meane of God, and heyres annexed with Christe yf so be that we suffer together, that we maye be glorified together.

And it fortuned that the begger dyed, and was caryed by the Angels into Abrahams bosome. The ryche man also dyed and was buryed.

I my self fedde the slaughter shepe (a pore flocke verely) & toke vnto me two staues: the one I called louinge mekenesse, the other I called wo, & so I kepte the shepe.

The oppressed shall holde a merye feaste in the Lorde, and the poore people shall reioyse in the holye one of Israell.

Who shall then maynteyne the messages of the Gentyles? But the Lorde stablisheth Sion, and the poore of my people shall put their truste in hym.

Vngodly men are ye. He hath none respecte vnto the personnes of the lordlye, and regardeth not the ryche more then pore. For they be al the worcke of hys handes.

Therfore herken vnto me, ye that haue vnderstandynge. Farre be it from God, that he shulde medle with wyckednesse: and farre be it from the almyghtye, that he shuld medle wyth vnryghtuous dealynge:

and yet shew mercy vnto thousandes among them that loue me and kepe my commaundementes.

Erre not my deare brethren.

that ye woulde walke worthye of God, whiche hath called you vnto his kingdome & glory.

and lyghten the eyes of youre myndes that ye myght knowe what that hope is, where vnto he hath called you, and what the ryches of hys gloryous inheritaunce is vpon the saynctes,

For all thynges do I for youre sakes, that the plentuous grace by thankes geuen of manye, maye redounde to the prayse of God.

Doth anye of the rulers or the Phariseis beleue on hym?

And I appointe vnto you a kyngdome, as my father hath appointed to me,

And he called all the people vnto hym, and sayde to them. Herken to me, euery one of you and vnderstande.

And so it was broken in that daye. Then the poore simple shepe that had a respecte vnto me, knewe therby, that it was the word of the lord.

In the also will I leaue a small poore simple people, which shal trust in the name of the Lorde.

Therfore herken vnto me, O ye chyldren, for blessed are they that kepe my wayes.

Heare me now therfore (O my sonne) and marke the wordes of my mouth.

Theyr tokens & weapons haste thou turned lyke claye & set them vp agayne as the chaunginge of a garment.

Then Micheah sayde: yf thou come safe agayne, the Lorde hath not spoken in me. And he sayde moreouer, herken to ye people euery one of you.

And he sayde: ye men, brethren, and fathers, harken to. The God of glorye appeared vnto our father Abraham whyle he was yet in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,

And when it was tolde Ioatham, he went & stode in the toppe of mount Garizim, & lyfte vp hys voyce & called, & sayd vnto them: Herken vnto me you citezens of Sichem, that God may herken vnto you.

He reyseth vp the poore out of the duste, and lyfteth vp the begger from the dong hill: to set them among princes, and to enheret them with the seate of glory. For the pyllers of the earth are the Lordes, and he hath set the rounde worlde vpon them.

Some men are rych, thoughe they haue nothynge: againe some men are pore hauing greate ryches.

Wherfore deare brethren, let euerye man be swyfte to heare, slowe to speake, and slow to wrath.
