Wherfore deare brethren, let euerye man be swyfte to heare, slowe to speake, and slow to wrath.

He is wyse and discrete, that tempereth his wordes: and he is a man of vnderstandinge, that maketh much of his spirite.

Who so kepeth his mouth and his tong, the same kepeth hys soule from troubles.

Pacyence is a token of wisdom, but wrath & hasty displasure is a token of folyshnesse.

Where much babling is, ther must nedes be offence: he that refraineth his lippes is wisest of all.

He that geueth sentence in a matter before he heare it, is a foole, & worthy to be confounded.

He that kepeth his mouth, kepeth his lyfe: but who so speaketh vnaduised findeth harme.

A pacyente man is better then one stronge: and he that can rule him selfe, is more worth then he that winneth a city.

Be angrye, but synne not, let not the sunne go doune vpon your wrath,

An angry man stereth vp strife, but he that is pacient stilleth discord.

But now put ye also awaye from you all thinges, wrath, fearnes, maliciousnes, cursed speaking fylthy speaking out of your mouthes.

Let all bitternes, fearsnes and wrath, roring and cursed speakinge, be put awaye from you, wyth all maliciousnes.

Death & lyfe stand in the power of the tong, he that loueth it shal enioy the frute thereof.

And the peace of God rule in your hertes, to the which peace ye are called in one bodye. And se that ye be thankfull.

A wyse man putteth of displeasure, & it is his honour to let some fautes passe.

A wise tonge commendeth knowledg, a folysh mouth blabbeth oute no thynge but folyshnesse.

He that can not rule him self, is like a city which is broken doune, & hath no walles.

An vnpacient man dealeth folyshly, but he that is well aduysed doth other wayes.

but I sai vnto yow, whosoeuer is angre wt his brother without a cause shal be in daunger of iudgement. Whosoeuer saieth to his brother Racha, shalbe in daunger of a counsel. But whosoeuer saieth thou fole, shalbe in daunger of hel fire

He that soweth discord & strife, is lyke one that dyggeth vp a water broke: but an open enemy is like the water that breaketh out & renneth abroad.

Yf anye man amonge you seme deuoute, & refrayne not his tonge, but deceyue his owne hert: thys mannes deuocyon is in vayne.

For thys cause thanke we God wythout ceasyng, because that when ye receiued of vs the word, wher with God was preached, ye receiued it not as the worde of man: but euen as it was in dede, the worde of God: whiche worketh in you that beleue.

and refused to heare, and were not myndefull of the wonders that thou dyddeste for them: but became obstynate & heady in so muche that they turned backe to theyr bondage in theyr disobedience. But thou my God forgauest, and wast gracyous, mercyfull, pacyente, and of greate goodnesse, and forsokest them not.

These were the noblest of byrthe among them of Thessalonia whiche receyued the worde with al diligence of mynde, and searched the scriptures daylye whether those thynges were euen so.

but coulde not fynde what to do. For all the people stacke by hym, and gaue hym audience.

And anone many gathered together, in so muche that now there was no rome to receyue them: no, not so much as about the dore. And he preached the worde vnto them.

For great wrath bryngeth harme, therfore let hym go, & so mayest thou teache hym more nurtoure.

Then sent I for the immediatly, and thou hast wel done for to come. Nowe are we all here present before God, to heare al thinges that are commaunded vnto the of God.

And they continued in the Apostles doctrine and fellowshyppe, and in breakyng of bread, and in praier.

Then resorted vnto hym all the Publycans and synners for to heare hym.

& stode vp in theyr place, & red in the boke of the lawe of the Lord theyr God foure tymes on the day, and they knowleged & worshypped the Lorde theyr God foure tymes on the daye.

I wrote not vnto you, as though ye knewe not the trueth, but as though ye knewe it, and knowe also that no lye commeth of trueth.

The gentyls hearde and were glad & glorifyed the worde of the Lorde, and beleued euen as many as were ordeyned vnto eternal lyfe.

Then Dauid him selfe calleth him Lord: & by what meanes is he then his sonne? And much people hearde him gladly.

And euerye daye from the fyrste daye vnto the last, red he in the boke of the lawe of God. And seuen dayes helde they the feaste, & on the eyght daye of the gatherynge together, accordynge vnto the maner.

And when the asse saw the angel of the lord, she fel downe vnder Balam: and Balam was wrath and smote the asse wyth a staffe.

Yf thou seist a man that is hastye to speake vnaduysed, thou, mayest trust a foole more then hym.

And in those dayes Peter stode vp in the myddes of the dyscyples and sayde (the numbre of names that were together, were about an hundred and twenty)

My brethren, count it excedyng ioye when ye fal into dyuers temptacyons,

Erre not my deare brethren.

Brethren haue not the faythe of oure Lorde Iesus Christe the Lorde of glorye in respect of persons.

Harken my deare beloued brethren. Hath not God chosen the pore of thys world, which are ryche in faythe, and heyres of the kyngedome whiche he promysed to them that loue hym?

Out of one mouth proceadeth blessynge and curssynge. My brethren these thynges ought not so to be.

Back byte not one another, brethren. He that backbyteth hys brother, and he that iudgeth hys brother, backbyteth the lawe, and iudgeth the lawe. But and yf thou iudge the law, thou art not an obseruer of the law, but a iudge.

But about al thinges my brethren, sweare not, neyther by heauen, neyther by earth, neyther by anye other othe. Let your yea be yea and youre naye, naye: leaste ye falle into hypocrysye.

Brethren yf anye of you erre from the trueth and an other conuerte hym,

but in so muche as ye wyll not speake, standynge styll lyke domme men, and makynge no aunswere:
