Euery good gyfte, and euerye perfecte gyfte, is from aboue and commeth doune from the father of lyght wyth whome is no varyablenes, neyther is he chaunged vnto darkenes.

Iohn aunswered, and sayed: a man can receiue nothing at al except it be geuen him from heauen.

Yf ye then whyche are euyll, can geue to youre chyldren good gyftes: howe muche more shall your father whiche is in heauen, geue good thinges to them that axe hym?

Iesus Christe yesterdaye and to daye, and the same contynueth for euer.

Then spake Iesus agayne vnto them, saiynge. I am the lyghte of the worlde. He that foloweth me, shall not walke in darkenes: but shall haue the lyghte of lyfe.

The Lorde is not a man, that he can lye, neither the sonne of man that he can repente: should he saye and not do, or shoulde he speake and not make it good?

And this is the tydinges that we haue heard of him, and declare vnto you, that God is lyghte and in him is no darckenes at al,

For it is the Lord that geueth wysdome, out of hys mouth commeth knowlege & vnderstandyng.

For the Lord God is a light and defence, the Lorde wyll geue grace and worshyppe, and no good thynge shall he wytholde from them that lyue a godly lyfe.

But the wysedome that is from aboue, is fyrste pure, then peasable, gentle, and easye to be entreated, full of mercye & good frutes, wythoute iudgynge, and wythout simulacyon:

For I am the lord that chaunge not, and ye (O children of Iacob) wyll not leaue of:

For by grace are ye made safe thorowe fayth, and that not of youre selues. For it is the gyfte of God,

Yf ye then which are euill, can geue good gyftes vnto youre chyldren, howe much more shall the father of heauen geue an holy spirite to them that desyre it of hym?

For who preferreth the? What haste thou, that thou hast not receyued? Yf thou haue receyued it ewhy reioyseste thou as thoughe thou haddeste not receiued it?

Herin is loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, & sente his sonne to make agrement for our synnes.

and lyghten the eyes of youre myndes that ye myght knowe what that hope is, where vnto he hath called you, and what the ryches of hys gloryous inheritaunce is vpon the saynctes,

That was a true lyght, which lyghted all men that come into the worlde.

& the cytye hath no nede of the sunne neyther of the mone to lyghten it. For the bryghtnes of God dyd lyght it, & the lambe was the lyght of it.

And the Lord geue thy wysdom & vnderstandynge, & make the gouerner of Israel, & to kepe the law of the lord thy God.

For it is God that commaunded the lighte to shyne out of darknes, whiche hath shyned in oure hertes, for to geue the lyghte of the knoweledge of the glorye of God, in the face of Iesus Christe.

The Sunne shall neuer be thy day lyght, and the light of the Mone shal neuer shyne vnto the, but the Lorde hym selfe shalbe thyne euerlasting lyght, and thy God shalbe thy glory.

And therto he that geueth victorye to Israel, wyl not begyle nor repente: for he is not a man, that can repent.

And Ioseph answered Pharao saying: God shal geue Pharao an answere of peace without me.

And there shalbe no nyght there, and they nede no candel neyther lyghte of the sunne: for the Lorde geueth them lyghte, & they shall rayne for euermore.

Yf anye of you lacke wysedome, let hym axe of God whiche geueth to all men indyfferentlye, and casteth no man in the teath: and it shal be geuen hym.

For the rewarde of sinne is death: but eternal lyfe is the gyfte of God, thorow Iesus Christ oure Lorde.

And geue vnto Salomon my sonne, a pure herte to kepe thy commaundementes, thy testimonyes & thyne ordinaunces, and to do all, and to buylde the house whiche I entended.

And I wil come doune and talke wyth the there, and take of the spirite which is vpon the and put vpon the and vpon them and they shall bere wyth the in burthen of the people, and so shalt thou not beare alone.

Thys wysedome descendeth not from aboue: but is earthye, & naturall, and deuelyshe:

It is I that created the lyght and darcknes, I make peace & trouble yee euen I the Lorde do all these thinges.

For vnto you it is geuen, that not onely ye should beleue on Christ, but also suffre for his sake,

When they heard thys, they helde their peace & gloryfyed God, sayinge: then hath God also to the gentyls graunted repentaunce vnto lyfe.

Hym hath God lyfte vp with his ryght hand to be a ruler and a sauiour, for to geue repentaunce to Israell and forgeuenes of synnes?

In the beginning of a thynge, I shewe the ende therof: & I tell before, thynges that are not yet come to passe. With one worde is my deuyce accomplyshed, & fulfylleth all my pleasure.

And that he maye do it ryght, hys God teacheth hym and sheweth hym.

O praye for the peace of Ierusalem, they shall prospere that loue the.

Yea, & least thou lyfte vp thyne eye vnto heauen, & when thou seist the sunne and the mone and the starres and whatsoeuer is contained in heauen, shouldest be deceyued and shouldest bowe thy selfe to them and serue the thynges whych the Lord thy God hathe distributed vnto all nations that are vnder al quarters of heauen.

And the Lorde came doune in a cloude & spake vnto him, and toke of the sprete that was vpon him, and put it vpon the .lxx. elders. And as the spirite rested vpon them, they prophecied & dyd nought els.

And why? the Lorde shall shewe louynge kyndnesse, and oure lande shal geue her encrease.

But thou art the same, & thy yeares shall not fayle.

Whych hath made great lyghtes, for hys mercy endureth for euer.

Iesus aunswered & said to him: verely verely, I said vnto the: except a man be borne a new, he can not se the kingdome of God.

whiche onelye hath immortalitie, and dwelleth in lyght that no man can attayne, whome neuer man sawe, neyther can se, to whom be honoure and rule euerlastynge. Amen.
