Therfore shall the land be in a miserable case, & al they that dwel therin, shall mourne: the beastes in the felde, the foules in the ayr, & the fishes in the sea shal dye.

I wyl gather vp man and beast: I wil gather vp the foules in the ayre and the fyshe in the sea (to the greate decaye of the wycked) and wyll vtterlye destroye the men out of the lande, sayeth the Lorde.

When he reproueth the sea, he drieth it vp, and turneth all the floudes to drye lande. Basan is desolate, Charmel & the pleasure of Lybanus wasteth awaye.

If no (sayeth the Lorde God, the God of hostes) there shal be mournynge in all stretes, yea they shal say in euerye strete: alas, alas. They shal cal the husband man to lamentacyon, and suche as can mourne to mournynge.

The very fishes in the sea, the foules of the ayre, the beastes of the felde, and al the men that are vpon the earth, shall tremble for feare of me. The hilles also shalbe turned vp syde downe, the stayres of stone shall fall, & all walles shall syncke to the grounde.

Howlonge shall the lande mourne, and al the herbes of the felde perysh, for the wyckednes of them that dwell therin? The catell and the byrdes are gone, yet saye they: tush, God wyll not destroye vs vtterly.

I loked aboute me, and there was no bodye, and all the birdes of the ayre were awaye.

Shall not the lande tremble, and all they that dwell therin, mourne for thys? Shall not their destruccyon come vpon them lyke a water streame, and flowe ouer them, as the floude of Egypte?

And he sayde: The Lorde shall roare oute of Syon, and shewe hys voyce from Ierusalem: so that the pastures of the shepherdes shalbe in a myserable case, and the tope of Charmell dryed vp.

the desolate earthe is in heuynes. Lybanus taketh it but for a sporte, that it is hewen doune: Saron is lyke a wyldernes: Basan and Charmel are turned vpsyde doune.

Vpon the mountaynes wyl I take vp a lamentacyon and sorowfull crye, and a mournynge vpon the fayre playnes of the wyldernes: Namely, howe they are so brente vp, that no man goeth there anye more. Yea a man shall not heare one beaste crye there. Byrdes and catell are al gone from thence.

Because the lande is full of aduouterers, where thorow it is destroyed and mourneth, and the pleasaunt pastures of the deserte are dryed vp. Yee the waye that men take, is wycked, and their gouernaunce is nothinge lyke the holy worde of the Lorde.

O what a fyghynge make the cattell? the bullockes are very euyll lykynge, because they haue no pasture: and the shepe are famyshed awaye.

I wyl bring it forth (sayeth the Lorde of hostes) so that it shall come to the house of the these, and to the house of hym, that falselye sweareth by my name, and shall remayne in hys house, and consume it, with the timbre & stones thereof.

Shulde I not punyshe them for these thynges, sayeth the Lorde? Or shulde I not be auenged of any suche people as thys?
