Yf no I shal strype her naked and sette her, euen as she came into the worlde: yea, I shall lay her waste, and make her like a wildernesse, and slay her for thirst.
And yet in all thy abhominacyons & whordome, thou hast not remembred the dayes of thy youth, howe naked and bare thou wast at that tyme, and troden doune in thyne owne bloude.
And yf thou woldest saye then in thyne herte: Wherfore come these thinges vpon me? Euen for the multitude of thy blasphemyes, shall thy hinder partes and thy fete be discouered.
And the ten hornes, which thou sawest vpon the beast, are they that shal hate the whore, & shal make her desolate and naked, and shal eate her flesh and burne her wyth fyre.
For thus hath the Lord spoken vpon the kynges house of Iuda: Thou art the head as Galaad is in Libanus. What wylt thou saye of it, yf I make the not so waste (& thy cyties also) that no man shall dwell therin?
He shall be lyke the heeth, that groweth in the wildernes. As for the good thing that is for to come, he shal not se it: but dwell in a drye place of the wildernes, in a salt and vnoccupied lande.

They thought not in their hertes: Where haue we left the Lorde, that broughte vs oute of the lande of Egipte, that led vs thorowe the wildernesse, thorow a desert and roughe lande, thorow a drye and deadly land yea a lande that no man had gone thorowe, and wherin noman had dwelt.
the desolate earthe is in heuynes. Lybanus taketh it but for a sporte, that it is hewen doune: Saron is lyke a wyldernes: Basan and Charmel are turned vpsyde doune.
And he was sore a thyrste, & called on the Lorde and sayde: Thou Lorde hast geuen this greate victorye, thorowe the hand of thy seruaunt. And now I muste dye for thyrst, and falle into the handes of the vncircumcised.
There the people thyrsted for water, and murmured agaynst Moses & sayde: wherfore hast thou brought vs out of Egypte, to kyll vs and oure chyldren & oure catel with thyrste?
The Lordes shall sende their seruauntes to fetch water, and when they come to the welles, they shall fynde no water, but shall carye their vessels home emptye. They shall be ashamed and confounded, & shall couer their heades.
Yet can I se no comforte, for when he is nowe the goodlyest among the brethren, the East wynde (euen the wynd of the Lorde) shall come doune from the wyldernesse, and drye vp hys condytes, and drincke vp hys welles: he shall spoyle the treasure of all pleasaunte vessels.
As for Israel and Iuda, they shal not be forsaken of theyr God, of the Lorde of Hostes, of the holy one of Israel: no, thoughe they haue fylled all theyr lande full of synne.
