And why? he maketh inquisicion for their bloude, and remembreth theym: he forgetteth not th complaynte of the poore.

And so Iehoas the kynge remembred not the kyndenes which Iehoiada his father had done to hym, but slue his sonne. And when he dyed, he sayde: the Lorde se and require a reconynge.

He that killeth any manne, shall dye for it

So nowe he that kylleth a beast, shall paye for it: but he that kylleth a man, shall dye for it.

If any man smyte another with a wepon of yeron that he dye, then he is a mutherer, and shall dye for it.

If he smyte him with a throwynge stone that he dye therwyth, then he shall dye: For he is a murtherer and shalbe slayne therfore.

If he smyte him wyth a hand wepon of wood that he dye therwyth then he shall dye: for he is a murtherer & shal be slayne therfore.

he the smot him shal dye, for he is a murtherer. The iustyce of bloude shall slee hym as soone as he fyndeth hym.

But and yf there be any man that hateth hys neyghboure and layeth awayte for him & riseth agaynst hym & smyteth him that he dye, & fleeth vnto any of these cytyes.

Then let the elders of his citye sende & fetche him thence & deliuer hym into the handes of the iustice of bloude, & he shall dye,

Deale with hym therfore accordynge to thy wysedome and se that thou brynge not hys horre head doune to the graue in peace.

And Athaliah the mother of Ohoziah, when she saw that her sonne was dead, she arose, and slew all the seede of the kingedome.

Wherfore hys owne seruauntes conspired against him and slue him in his owne house.

And the people of the land slue all that he conspyred agaynst kynge Amon. And therto the people of the lande made Iosiah his sonne kyng in hys roume.
