behold, in as moch as thy seruaunt hath founde grace in thy syghte, nowe make thy mercy great, whyche thou shewest vnto me in sauing my lyfe. For I can not saue my selfe in the mountayns, lest some misfortune fall vpon me and I dye.
For the Lord God is a light and defence, the Lorde wyll geue grace and worshyppe, and no good thynge shall he wytholde from them that lyue a godly lyfe.
But by the grace of God I am that I am. And his grace which is in me, was not in vaine, but I laboured more aboundantly then they al, not I but the grace of God which is with me.

Yf it be of grace, then is it not of workes. For then were grace no more grace. Yf it be of workes, then is it no more grace. For then were deseruynge no lenger deseruynge.
which were in tyme passed disobedient, when the longe sufferinge of God abode excedinge paciently in the dayes of Noe, whyle the arcke was a preparing wherin fewe (that is to saie .viij. soules) were saued by water,
And thoughe Noe, Daniel & Iob these thre men were amonge them, yet shal they in their rightuousnesse delyuer but theyr owne soules, sayeth the Lorde God.
