God loked downe from heauen vpon the chyldren of men, to se if there were any that would vnderstand, or seke after God.

For we our selues also in tymes paste, vnwyse, dysobedient, deceyued, in daunger to lustes, and to dyuers maners of voluptuousnes, lyuyng in malycyousnes and enuye, ful of hate, hatyng one another.

And he sayde vnto me: Go thy waye in, & loke what wycked abhomynacions they do there.

But the men of Sodome were wicked, & sinned exceadyngly against the Lord.

Then sayde he vnto me: Thou sonne of man, haste thou sene what the Senatoures of the house of Israel do secretly euerye one in hys chambre: For they saye: Tush, the Lorde seyth vs not, the Lord regardeth not the worlde.

an hert that goeth about with wicked ymaginacions, fet that be swift in rening to do mischefe,

so that when he heareth the wordes of this curse, he blesse him self in his hert saying: I shall haue peace. I wyll therfore worke after the luste of myne owne hert, that the droncken may perysh with the thyrstye.

How much more then an abhominalbe and vyle man, which drincketh wickednesse lyke water?

As the tyme of Noe was, so lykewyse shal the commynge of the sonne of man be.

As it happened in the tyme of Noe: So shal it be in the tyme of the sonne of man.

which were in tyme passed disobedient, when the longe sufferinge of God abode excedinge paciently in the dayes of Noe, whyle the arcke was a preparing wherin fewe (that is to saie .viij. soules) were saued by water,

Well thou wilt kepe the olde waye, that all wicked men haue gone:
