And manye yeares dyddest thou forbeare them, & testifyedst vnto them thorowe thy spryte, euen by the offyce of thy Prophetes, and yet wold they not heare Therfore gauest thou them into the hande of the nacyons in the landes.

Therfore thus sayth the Lorde: Beholde, I wyll sende a plage amonge you, whiche ye shall not be able to escape: and though ye crye vnto me, I wyll not heare you.

But after they prouoked hym to wrath, and vexed hys holy mynd, he was their enemye, and fought against them him selfe.

For he considered that they wer but flesh: euen a wynde that passeth awaye, and commeth not agayne.

Ye styfe necked, and of vncyrcumcysed hertes and eares, ye haue al wayes resisted the holye ghoste as your fathers dyd, so do ye.

And I wil come doune and talke wyth the there, and take of the spirite which is vpon the and put vpon the and vpon them and they shall bere wyth the in burthen of the people, and so shalt thou not beare alone.

That whyche is borne of the fleshe is fleshe: and that whiche is borne of the spyryte, is spyrite.

What more coulde haue bene done for it, that I haue not done? Wherfore then hath it geuen thornes, where I loked to haue had grapes of it?

For I haue diligently exorted youre fathers, euer sence the tyme that I broughte them oute of the land of Egipte, vnto this daye. I gaue them warnyng by tymes, sayenge: herken vnto my voyce:

that sonnes of god saw the daughters of men that they were fayre, and toke vnto them wyues, which they best lyked among them all.

For I chide not euer, & am not wroth without ende. But the blastinge goeth from me, though I make the breath.

The dayes of oure age are .iij. score yeares and ten: and though men be so strong that they come to foure score yeares, yet is their strength then but laboure, & sorowe: so soone passeth it awaye, and we are gone.
