I se him but not now, I behold hym but not nye. There shall come a starre of Iacob and ryse a scepter of Israel, which shal smite the costes of Moab and vndermine all the chyldren of Seth.

For vnto vs a chylde shalbe borne, and vnto vs a sonne shalbe geuen. Vpon his shoulder shall the kyngedome lye, and he shalbe called with hys owne name. The wonderous geuer of councel, the myghty God, the euerlastinge father, the prynce of peace,

Beholde now therfore, thys is my seruaunte whom I wyll kepe to my selfe: myne electe, In whom my soule shalbe pacified. I wyll geue hym my sprete, that he may shewe forth iudgement & equyte amonge the Gentyles.

For the Lorde shalbe oure captayne, the Lorde shalbe oure lawe geuer. The Lorde shalbe oure kynge, and he hym selfe shalbe oure sauyoure.

For it is euident, that oure Lorde sprong of the trybe of Iuda, of whiche trybe spake Moyses nothyng concernynge priesthode.

He shall go vpon the sea of trouble, & smyte the sea waues: so that al the depe floudes shalbe dried vp. The proud boastinge of Assur shalbe cast doun, & the scepter of Egipte shalbe taken away.

Punish punyshe, yea punish them will I, and destroy them: and that shall not be fulfilled vntyll he come, to whome the iudgement belongeth, & to whome I haue geuen it.

And the seuenth angell blewe, and there were made greate voyces in heauen, sayinge: the kyngdomes of thys worlde are oure Lordes and hys Christes, & he shall raygne for euer more.

And in another place Esayas saith: there shalbe the rote of Iesse, and he that shall ryse to reygne ouer the Gentyles: in hym shal the Gentyles truste.

And I, yf I were lyft vp from the earth, will drawe all men vnto me.

At the same tyme there shall manye Heathen cleue to the Lorde, and shall be my people. Thus wyll I dwell in the myddest of the, & thou shalte knowe, that the Lorde of hostes hathe sente me vnto the.

A captayne also shall come of them, and a prince shall sprynge oute from the myddest of them: hym wyll I chalenge to my self, and he shall come vnto me. For what is he, that geueth ouer hys herte to come vnto me, sayth the Lorde.

Then shal the Gentyles enquere after the rote of Iesse (whiche shalbe set vp for a token vnto the Gentyles) for hys dwellinge shalbe glorious.

They cryed, awaye wyth hym, awaye with hym, crucifye hym. Pylate sayd to them: Shall I crucifye your kynge? The hye Priestes aunswered: we haue no king but Cesar.

She shall bryngforth a sonne, & thou shalt cal his name Iesus. For he shal saue his people from their sins.

Beholde, the Lorde proclameth in the endes of the worlde: tell the doughter Syon: se, thy saluacyon commeth, beholde he bryngeth his treasure wyth hym, and hys worckes go before hym.

But Ephraim goeth about me with lyes, & the house of Israel dissembleth. Onelye Iuda beholdeth him with God, and with the true holy thinges.

And therfore get the vp by tymes, for thy lyght cometh, and the glory of the Lorde shall ryse vp vpon the.

It will be also in processe of tyme: That the hyl where the house of the Lorde is buylded, shal be the chefe amonge hylles, and exalted aboue al lytle hylles. And all the Heathen shall preache vnto hym, & the multytude of people shall go vnto hym,

The wel whych the rulers dygged and the captaines of the people wt the healpe of the lawe geuer and with their staues. And from thys wyldernesse they went to Matana,

and before him shall be gathered all nations, and he shall separate them one from another, as a shephearde deuideth the shepe from the gootes.

Moreouer the people that went before, and they also that came after, cryed sayinge: Hosanna to the sonne of Dauid. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lorde Hosanna in the hyest.

yea, I will moue al heathen, & the comforte of all Heathen shall come, and so wyll I fyl thys house wyth honoure, sayeth the Lorde of hostes.

Vnderstande this then, and marcke it well, that from the tyme it shalbe concluded, to go and repayre Ierusalem againe, vnto Christ (or the annointed) prince: there shalbe seuen weakes. Then shal the stretes and walles be buylded again .lxij. weakes, but wyth harde troublous time.

And there is a fyre gone out of her stalckes, which hath brent vp her braunches and her frute: so that she hath no mo stronge stalckes, to be staues for offycers. This is a pyteous and miserable thynge.

For we muste all appeare before the iudgement seate of Christ, that euery man maye receyue the workes of hys bodye accordyng to that he hath done, whether it be good or badde?

And from thence forth sought Pylate meanes to louse him: but the Iewes cryed, saiynge: yf thou let hym go, thou arte not Cesars frende. For whosoeuer maketh hym selfe a kynge, is agaynst Cesar.

Then sayed Pilate vnto them: take ye him, and iudge hym after your owne lawe. Then the Iewes sayed vnto hym: It is not laufull for vs to put any man to deat

then will I also cast awaye the sede of Dauid my seruaunt: so that I will take no prynce oute of his sede, to rule the posterite of Abraham, Isaac and Iacob. But yet I will turne again their captiuite, and be mercyfull vnto them.

And out of Iacob shal come he that shal destroye the remnaunt of the cityes.

And he shal buylde an house for my name, & I wyll stablyshe the seate of hys kyngdome for euer:

And thyne house and thy kyngdome shall endure wythoute ende after the, and thy seate shalbe stablyshed for euer.

The chyldren of Iuda that bare shylde & sperre were sixe thousand and eight hundred trymmed to warre.

And there they were with Dauid thre dayes eatynge & drynckyng: for theyr brethren prepared for them.

Who will leade me into the strong cytie? Who will bryng me into Edom?

Neuertheles, he chose the trybe of Iuda, euen the hyll of Syon which he loued.

Encline youre eares, & come vnto me, take hede, & your soule shall lyue. For I wyll make an euerlastynge couenaunt wyth you, euen the sure mercyes of Dauid.

Thou shalt fede the fyre and thy bloud shall be shed in the lande, that thou mayest be put out of remembraunce. Euen I the Lord haue spoken it.

After that shalt thou be robbed thy selfe, O thou robbers daughter: they shall laye sege agaynst vs, & smyte the iudge of Israell wyth a rodde vpon the cheke.
