By fayth Abel offred vnto God a more plentuous sacrifyce then Cayn: by whiche he obtayned wytnes that he was ryghtuous, God testifiynge of his gyftes: by which also he beynge dead, yet speaketh.
As for the vyneyarde of the Lorde of Hostes it is the house of Israel, & whole Iuda hys fayre plantynge. Of these he loked for equyte, but se there is wronge: for rightuousnesse, lo, It is but miserye.
Beholde the hyre of the labourers which haue reped doun your fieldes (which hyer is of you kept backe by fraude) crieth: & the cryes of them whiche haue reped, are entred into the eares of the Lorde Sabaoth
And se that ye polute not the lande whych ye are in, for bloud defyleth the lande. And the lande can none otherwyse be clensed of the bloude that is shed therin, but by the bloude of hym that shed it.
For verily the bloude of you wherin youre lyues are wyl I require: Euen of the hand of all beastes wyll I requyre it, and of the hande of man and of the hand of euerye mannes brother wyll I requyre the lyfe of man:
Then the Lorde sayed: I haue surelye sene the trouble of mi people which ar in Egipt, and haue heard their cry whyche they haue of their taskemasters. For I know theyr sorow,
I haue sene yesterdaye the bloude of Naboth and of hys sonnes, sayde the Lord, and I wyl quyte him in thys grounde, saythe the Lorde. Now therfore take and cast hym in the plat of grounde accordynge to the worde of the Lorde.
And Iosua sayde vnto Acan: my sonne, geue glorye to the Lorde God of Israell, & geue hym prayse, & shewe me what thou hast done, and hyde it not from me.
Then saied Peter vnto her: why haue ye agreed together to tempte the spiryte of the Lorde? Beholde, the fete of them whiche haue buried thy husbande, are at the dore, and shal cary the out.
Then said Peter. Ananias, how is it, that Sathan hath fylled thyne hert, that thou shouldest lye vnto the holy ghost, and kepe awaye part of the pryce of the lyuelod:
Then sayde Samuel to Saul: what hast thou done? And Saule sayd: because I saw that the people skatered from me, & that thou camest not within the dayes apoynted & that the Philistines gathered them selues together to Machmas:
But there was a prophete of the Lordes named obed which went out to the Host that came to Samaria & sayde to them: se, because the Lorde God of your fathers was wroth with Iuda, he deliuered them into youre handes. And ye haue slayne them with cruelnesse that reacheth vp to heauen.
