And after thys maner spake she to Ioseph daye by day: but he harkend not vnto her, to slepe nere her, or to be in her company.

But he denyed & sayde to her: Beholde, my master woteth not what he hath in the house wt me, but hath commytted all that he hath to my hande.

Dearely beloued, I beseche you as straungers and pylgremes, obstayne from fleshely lustes, which fyght agaynste the soule,

Lustes of youth auoyde, and folow ryghtuousnes, fayth, loue, & peace, with them that call on the Lorde with pure herte.

Absteyne from all suspicious thinges.

Be not deceiued: malicious speakinges corrupte good maners.

Fle fornycatyon. Al synnes that a man doth, are without the body. But he that is a fornicatour, sinneth agaynst his owne bodye.

For an whore is a depe graue, and an harlot is a narow pyt.

The mouth of an harlot is a depe pyt, wherein he falleth that the Lorde is angrye wyth all.

that she may kepe the from the starnge woman, and from the harlot which geueth swete wordes,

Kepe thy way far from her, and come not nye the dores of her house.

For the lyppes of an harlot are a droppynge combe, and her throte is softer then oyle.

That thou mayest be deliuered also from the straunge woman, & frome her that is not thyne owne: whiche geueth swete woordes,

My sonne, walke not thou with them, refrayn thy fote from their ways.

Who so is ignorant (sayeth she) let him come hyther, and to the vnwyse she sayeth:

sitteth in the dores of her house vpon a stoole aboue in the cytye,

she caught the yonge man, kyssed hym, & was not ashamed, sayinge:

I wyll therfore that the yonger women marye and beare children, and guyde the house and geue none occasyon to the aduersarye to speake euyll.

He him selfe is not greater in the house than I, and hath kepte nothyng from me, but only the because thou art hys wyfe. How than can I do thys great wykydnes, for to synne agaynst God?

And it fortuned aboute the same season, that Ioseph entred in to the house, to do hys busynes: & there was none of the housholde by, in the house.

She lurketh lyke a thefe, and those that be not aware she bryngeth vnto her.
