Then was Iacob greatly afrayed, & wyste not whych way to turne him selfe, and deuided the people that was wyth hym, and the shepe, oxen, & camels, into .ij. companyes,
and let vs arise and go vp to Bethel, that I may make an aulter there vnto God, whyche hearde me in the day of my tribulation and was wyth me in the waye whyche I wente.
whiche comforteth vs in all oure tribulacion, in so muche that we are able to comforte them, which are troubled in whatsoeuer tribulation it be, with the same comforte wherwith we our selues are comforted of God.
and strengthed the disciples soules exhortynge them to continue in the faith, affyrmyng that we must thorowe muche tribulacion enter into the kingdome of God.
These wordes haue I spoken vnto you, that in me you myght haue peace. For in the worlde shall you haue tribulacyon: but be of good cheare. I haue ouercome the worlde.
For I haue harde the blasphemy of the multytude: euerye man abhorreth me: they haue gathered a councell together agaynste me, and are purposed to take awaye my lyfe.
And Pharao drewe nye, & when the chyldren of Israel lyft vp their eyes & sawe howe the Egyptians folowed after them, they were sore a frayde & cryed out vnto the Lord.
Iacob lift vp hys eyes & sawe hys brother Esau come, & wyth hym .iiij. hundred men. And he deuided the chyldren vnto Lea and vnto Rahell, and vnto the two maydens.
