I am not worthy of the leaste of all the mercies & trueth whyche thou hast shewed vnto thy seruaunt. For wyth my stafe came I ouer thys Iordane, & now haue I goten two droues.
& sayd: blessed be the lorde God of my master Abraham whych ceasseth not to deale mercyfully & truly wyth my master, & hath brought me the waye to my masters brothers house.
Then went kynge Dauid & set hym doune before the Lorde, and sayde: What am I Lorde Iehouah, and what is my kynne, that thou shuldest haue broughte me this farre forth?
Lykewyse ye yonger submit youre selues vnto the elder. Submit youre selues euerye man, one to another, knyt youre selues together in lowlines of mynde. For God resisteth the proude & geueth grace to humble.

So lykewyse ye, when ye haue done al those thinges: which are commaunded you, saye: we are vnprofytable seruauntes. We haue done that whiche was oure duetye to do.
I wyl declare the goodnesse of the Lorde, yea and the prayse of the Lorde for all that he hath geuen vs, for the great good that he hath done for Israel: whyche he hath geuen them of hys owne fauoure, and accordynge to the multytude of hys louynge kyndnesses.
Then I sayde: O wo is me. For I was astonished: that I (which am a man of vncleane lippes and dwell amonge people that hath vncleane lyppes also) shulde se the kynge and the Lorde of hostes wyth myne eyes.
But remembre the Lord thy God, how that it is he which gaue the power to do manfullye, for to make good the promises whiche he sware to thy fathers, as it is come to passe this day.
Then was Iacob greatly afrayed, & wyste not whych way to turne him selfe, and deuided the people that was wyth hym, and the shepe, oxen, & camels, into .ij. companyes,
And se I am wyth the, and wyll be thy keper in all places whyther thou goest, and wyll brynge the agayne into thys land: neither wyll I leaue the vntyll I haue made good all that I haue promised the.
yea, & the Lord stod vpon it, and sayed. I am the Lorde God of Abraham thy father, & the God of Isaac. The land whiche thou sleapest vpon wyl I gyue the & thy sede.
