And the woman saw that it was a good tree to eate of, and lusty vnto the eies, & a pleasant tree forto geue vnderstandynge. And toke of the frute of it & ate, & gaue vnto her husband also wt her, & he ate.

Thou sonne of man, beholde I wil take awaye the pleasure of thyne eyes with a plage: yet shalt thou neyther mourne, nor wepe, nor water thy chekes therfore:

But I saye vnto you, that whosoeuer loketh on a wife, lustinge after her, hath committed adulterye with her alredy in his herte

Tell the house of Israell, thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyl suspende my sanctuarye: euen the glorye of your power, the pleasure of youre eyes, & the thyng that ye loue, youre sonnes & doughters whome ye haue left, shall fal thorow the swerde.

And it fortuned after thys, that hys masters wyfe cast her eyes vpon Ioseph & sayd: come lye with me.

And vnto Adam he sayd: For as moch as thou hast obeyed the voyce of thy wyfe, and hast eaten of the tree of which I commaunded the, sayinge: Se thou eate not therof: curssed be the erth for thy sake. In sorow shalt thou eate therof all dayes of thy lyfe:

And Adam answered: The woman whych thou gauest to bere me company she toke me of the tree, and I ate.

I made a couenaunt with mine eyes, that I woulde not loke vpon a damosell.

And she wepte vnto him .vij. dayes, while the feaste lasted. And the seuenth day he told her, because she laye so sore vpon him. And she tolde it the chyldren of her folke.

And so the other went agayn wyth him & ate bread in his house & drancke water.
