Thou sonne of man, tell the Prince of Tyre. Thus saieth the lord god because thou haste a proude hert & hast said: I am a god: I haue my seate in the middest of the sea like a God, where as thou art but a man and not God, & yet standest in thine own conceyt, that thou art God.

And the eyes of bothe them were opened, that they vnderstode howe that they were naked. Than they sowed figge leues together and made them apurns.

And deceiued them that dwelt on the earth by the meanes of those sygnes, which he had power to do in the syght of the beaste, saying to them that dwelt on the earth, that they should make an ymage vnto the beaste, whyche had the wounde of a swearde, and dyd lyue.

& they worshipped the dragon, which gaue power vnto the beaste, and they worshipped the beast saiynge: who is lyke vnto the beast? who is able to warre with him?

and sayde: Thys is the greate cytye of Babilon, which I my selfe (wyth my power & strengthe) haue made a kynges courte, for the honour of my magestye.

I wyll climme vp aboue the cloudes, and wylbe like the hyghest of all.

And then the kynge of Israell gathered of the Prophetes together, vpon a foure hundred men, and sayde vnto them: shall I go to Ramoth in Galaad to battayle, or be stylle? And they saide: go, for the Lorde shall delyuer it into the handes of the kynge.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vayne, for the Lord wil not hold him giltlesse that taketh his name in vayne.

Which saye: oure tonge shoulde preuayle we are they that oughte too speake, who is Lord ouer vs?

Wherfore now lett not Hezekiah deceyue you ether perswade you of thys fashyon, nor yet beleue hym. For as no God amonge so manye nacyons and kyngdomes, was able to rydde hys people out of myne hande & the hande of my fathers: euen so moche lesse shall youre God kepe you oute of myne hande.

Speake, & tel him: thus sayth the Lorde God: Beholde O Pharao thou kynge of Egypte, I wyll vpon the, thou greate dragon, that lyest in the waters: thou that sayest: the water is myne. I haue made it my selfe.

Thou sonne of man, make a lamentable complaynte ouer the kynge of Tyre, and tell hym: Thus sayth the Lorde God: Thou arte a seale of a lykenesse, full of wysdome & excellente beutye.

And the Lord god made to sprynge out of the erth, all maner trees bewtyfull to the syght and pleasant to eate, and the tree of lyfe in the myddes of the garden: and also the tree of knowledge of good and euell.
