Moreouer, I wyll put hatred betwene the & the woman, & betwene thy seed and her seed. And that seed shall tread the on thy heed, and thou shalt treade it on the hele.

The God of peace treade Sathan vnder your fete shortelye. The grace of oure Lorde Iesu Christe be with you.

He that committeth sinne, is of the deuil, for the deuil sinneth sence the beginninge. For this purpose appered the sonne of God to lowse the workes of the deuil.

And the dragon was wroth wyth the woman, and went and made warre wyth the remnaunt of her seede, whiche kepe the commaundementes of God, and haue the testimonye of Iesus Christe. And I stode on the sea sande.

And therfore the Lorde shall geue you a token of hym selfe: Beholde, a vyrgyn shall conceyue and beare a sonne, and shall call hys name Emmanuel.

But when the tyme was full come, God sente hys sonne made of a woman, and made bonde vnto the lawe,

Ye are of youre father the deuyl, and the lustes of your father ye wyll do. He was a murtherer from the begynnyng, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truthe in hym. When he speaketh a lye, then speaketh he of hys owne. For he is a lyar, and the father therof.

Bholde a mayde shall be wyth chylde, and shal bringe forth a sonne, and they shall call hys name Emanuell, whyche is by interpretation, God wyth vs.

And the fielde is the worlde. And the chyldren of the kyngdom, they are the good seede. And the tares are the chyldren of the wycked.

In this are the chyldren of God knowen, and the chyldren of the deuil. Whosoeuer doth not rightuousnes, is not of God, neyther he that loueth not his brother.

Beholde, I geue vnto you power to treade on serpentes & scorpions, & ouer all maner power of the enemye, and nothynge shall hurte you.

The Lord hath made a faythful ooth vnto Dauyd, and he shall not shrynke from it Of the frute of thy body shal I set vpon thy seate.

& the deuyll that deceyued them, was caste into a lake of fyre and brymstone, where the beast and the false Prophet were & shalbe tormented daye and nyghte for euermore.

and hath spoiled rule and power and hath made a shewe of them openlye, and hath tryumphed ouer them in hys owne persone.

& sayde. O full of all subteltie and disseytfulnes the chylde of the deuyll, and the enemye of all ryghteousnes, thou ceasest not to peruerte the strayghte wayes of the Lorde.

Feare none of those thynges, which thou shalt suffre. Behold, the deuil shal caste of you into pryson, to tempte you, and ye shal haue tribulacion .x. dayes. Be faythful vnto the death, & I wyl geue the a croune of life.

Therfore wyll I geue him the multytude for hys parte, and he shall deuyde the stronge spoyle because he shall geue ouer hys soule to death, & shalbe rekened amonge the transgressours, which neuertheles shall take away the sinnes of the multytude, and make intercessyon for the mysdoers.

In the meane whyle he plageth them for a season, vntyll the tyme that she (whyche shall beare) haue borne: then shall the remnaunt of hys brethren be conuerted vnto the chyldren of Israell.

Howe longe wilte thou go astraye, O thou shrinkinge doughter? For the Lorde wil worke a new thynge vpon earthe: A woman shall compasse a man.

Who is it that ouercommeth the worlde, but he which beleueth, that Iesus is the sonne of God?

For in that he hym selfe suffered and was tempted, he is able to sucker them that are tempted.

Wherfore he sayth: He is gone vp on hye, and had led captiuitie captiue, and hath geuen gyftes vnto men.

And it was geuen vnto hym to make warre wyth the Saynctes, and to ouercome them. And power was geuen hym ouer al kynredes, tonges and nacions,

Which in the daies of his flesh did offer vp praiers and supplications, wyth strong criynge and teares, vnto him that was able to saue hym from death, and was also hearde because of his Godlines.

When I was dayly with you in temple, ye stretched not forth handes agaynste me. But this is euen youre verye houre, and the power of darcknes.

Ye serpentes and generacion of vppers howe shoulde ye scape the damnacion of hell?

O generation of vipers, how can ye say well, when ye your selues are euil? For of the aboundaunce of the herte, the mouth speaketh.

When he sawe many of the Phariseis & of the Saduces come to his baptisme, he sayd vnto them: O generacion of vipers, who hath taught you to fle from the vengaunce to come?

Theyr throte is an open sepulchre, with theyr tonges they haue disceyued, the poyson of aspes is vnder their lippes.

And thou chylde shalt be called the prophete of the hiest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lorde to prepare his wayes.

& shall kyll serpentes, and yf they drinke any deadly thynge, it shall not hurte them. They shal lay theyr handes on the sycke, and they shal recouer.

and knewe her not tyl she had broughte forthe her fyrste sonne, and called hys name Iesus.

Dan shalbe a serpent in the way, and an edder in the path, & byte the horsse heles, so that hys ryder shal fal bacward.

After these .lxii. weakes shall Christ be slaine and they shall haue no pleasure in hym. Then shall there come a people with the Prince, and destroye the cytie and the Sanctuarye: & his ende shall come as the water floude. But the desolacion shall continue till the ende of the battell.

though they hyde them selues vpon the toppe of Carmell, yet shall I seke them out, and brynge them from thence: Though they crepe downe from my syght into the depe of the sea, I shall commaunde the serpente, euen there to byte them.

And he began at Moyses, and at all the Prophetes, & interpreted vnto them in all scryptures, which were written of hym.
