Moreouer I made an appoyntmente wyth them to gyue them the Land of Canaan: the land of theyr pilgrimage wherin thei wer straungers

And I wyll brynge you vnto the land ouer the which I did lift vp my hande to giue it vnto Abraham, Isaac, and Iacob, and wyll gyue it vnto you for a possession: euen I the Lorde.

Beholde, I haue sett the land before you: goo in therfore & possess the land whiche the Lorde sware vnto youre fathers Abraham, Isaac and Iacob, to geue vnto them and their seade after them.

And the Lorde sayed vnto him. This is the laud which I sware vnto Abraham, Isaac, and Iacob sayinge: I wyll giue it to thy sede. I haue shewed it the before thyne eyes: but thou shalt not goo ouer thyther.

Of his couenaunt to Abraham, and of his othe to Isaac:

Then sayd God: Sara thy wyfe shal bere the a sonne in dede & thou shalt cal his name Isaac. And I wyll make my bond with him, that it shalbe an euerlasting bond vnto hys seed after him.

And their complaint came vp vnto God from the labour. And God remembred hys promise wyth Abraham, Isaac, & Iacob.

And he sayde: I wyll be wt the. And this shalbe a token vnto the that I haue sente the, after that thou hast brought the people out of Egyte, ye shall serue God vpon thys mountayne.

And I wyl take you for my people and wil be to you a God. And ye shall know that I am the Lorde your God, whyche bryng you out from vnder the burdens of the Egyptians.

The Lorde is not a man, that he can lye, neither the sonne of man that he can repente: should he saye and not do, or shoulde he speake and not make it good?

He is alwaye myndeful of his couenaunt and promyse that he made to a thousand generations.
