and he sayde. Lord God of my master Abraham, sende me good spede thys daye, and shewe mercye vnto my master Abraham.

And I came this day vnto the wel & said: O Lorde, the God of my master Abraham, if it be so that thou makest my iorney which I go, prosperous:

Be not carefull: but in all thinges shewe your petition vnto God in prayer and supplication, wyth geuinge of thankes.

I am Abrahams God, and Isaacks God. & the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the liuynge.

In all thy wayes haue respecte vnto hym, & he shal ordre thy goinges.

The song of the steares. Except the Lord buylde the house, their laboure is but loste that buylde it. Except the Lord kepe the cytye, the watchman waketh but in vayne.

And when offeringe time was come, Eliah the prophete went to and sayde: Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and of Israel, let it be knowen thys daye, that thou art the God in Israel, and that I am thy seruaunt, and that I do al these thinges at thy commaundement.

And God almightye geue you mercy in the syghte of the man and send you youre other brother and also BenIamin, and I wylbe as a man robbed of his chyldren.

And Iacob said: O god of mi father Abraham, & God of my father Isaac: Lord whiche saydest vnto me, returne vnto thy countrye & to thy kynred, & I wyll do all well with the.

And excepte the God of my father, the God of Abraham, & the God whome Isaac feareth, had bene wyth me: surely thou haddest sent me away now al empty. But God beheld my tribulation, and the labour of my handes: and rebuked the yesterdaye.

yea, & the Lord stod vpon it, and sayed. I am the Lorde God of Abraham thy father, & the God of Isaac. The land whiche thou sleapest vpon wyl I gyue the & thy sede.

But Isaac sayd vnto his sonne: how commeth it that thou hast found it so quickely my sonne? He answered. The Lord thi God brought it to my hande.

And thou shalt brynge it to thy father, & he shall eate, that he may blesse the before hys death.

After these dedes, the worde of God, came vnto Abram in a vision sayinge: Feare not Abram, I am thy shyld, and thy rewarde shall be exceadynge greate.

And the felowe wondred at her. But helde hys peace, to wete whether the Lorde had made hys iourney prosperous or not.

I am not worthy of the leaste of all the mercies & trueth whyche thou hast shewed vnto thy seruaunt. For wyth my stafe came I ouer thys Iordane, & now haue I goten two droues.
