Matthew's Bible 1537

Than Abraham rose vp early in the morning and sadled his asse, & toke two of hys meyny with him, & Isaac his sonne: & cloue wod for the sacryfice, and rose vp & got him to the place whyche God had appoynted hym.

And in thy seed shal al the nacions of the erth be blessed, because thou hast obeyed my voyce.

And he rose vp erlye in the mornynge and nombred the people and went vp, both he and the elders of Israel before the people, vnto Ai.

And Iosua rose earlye: and they remoued from Settim, & came to Iordan, bothe he and al the chyldren of Israel, & soiourned there before they went ouer.
