By the worde of the Lorde were the heauens made, and all the hoostes of theym by the breth of hys mouth.

For it shalbe a sygne betwene me and the chyldren of Israell for euer. For in sixe daies the Lord made heauen and earth and the seuenth daye he rested and was refreshed,

For in sixe dayes the Lord made both heauen & earth & the sea & all that in them is and rested the seuenth day: wherfore the Lord blessed the Sabbath daye and halowed it.

In the beginnynge GOD created heauen and erth.

For thus sayeth the Lorde: euen he that created heauen, the God that made the earth, that fashioned it, & sett it forth: I haue not made it for naught, but I made it to be enhabited Euen I the Lorde, wythout whom there is none other.

For thus sayeth God the Lord vnto hym (euen he that the made heauens, and spred them abrode & seth forth the earth with her increase, whych geueth breath vnto the people that is in it, & to them that dwell therin)

And Hezekiah prayed before the Lorde and sayde: Lorde God of Israell, whych dwellest betwene the Cherubes, thou art God alone ouer all the kyngedomes of the earthe, and thou hast made bothe heauen and earthe.

I haue made the earth, & created man vpon it. Wyth myne handes haue I spred forth heauen, and geuen a commaundment for all the Host therof.

Which made heauen and earth, the sea, & all that therin is, which kepeth hys promise for euer.

The heauy burthen which the lord hath deuised for Israel. Thus saieth the lord, which spred the heauens abroade, layde the foundacyon of the earth, and geueth man the breath of lyfe:

For loke what he sayeth, it is done: and loke what he commaundeth, it standeth fast.

Lorde, thou alone haste made heauen, & the heauen of al heauens, with all theyr host the earth & all that is therein, the sea and all that is therein: thou geuest lyfe vnto all, & the host of heauen bowe them selues vnto the.

And Hiram sayde moreouer: blessed be the Lord God of Israel which hath made bothe heauen and earth, that he hath geuen Dauid the kynge a wyse sonne that hath discrecyon and vnderstandynge, to buylde an house for the Lorde, and auother for his kingdome.

But we whiche haue beleued, do enter into his reste, as contrarywyse he sayde to the other: I haue sworne in my wrath, they shal not enter into my rest. And that spake he verely longe after that the workes were made, and the foundacion of the worlde layde.

And when they hearde that, they lifte vp their voices to God with one accorde, and saied: Lorde, thou art God, whiche haste made heauen and earth, the sea and al that in them is,

Neuertheles, Iacobs porcyon is not suche: but it is he, that hath made all thynges, and Israel is the rode of hys enherytaunce: The Lorde of Hostes is his name.

But (as for oure God) he made the earth with his power, and with hys wysdom hath he fynished the whole compasse of the worlde, wyth hys discrecion hath he spred oute the heauens.

For lo, I shall make a newe heauen, and a newe earthe. And as for the olde, they shall neuer be thought vpon, nor kept in minde:

My hande is the foundacyon of the earthe, & my ryghte hande spanneth ouer the heauens. As sone as I called them they were there.

Yea, & least thou lyfte vp thyne eye vnto heauen, & when thou seist the sunne and the mone and the starres and whatsoeuer is contained in heauen, shouldest be deceyued and shouldest bowe thy selfe to them and serue the thynges whych the Lord thy God hathe distributed vnto all nations that are vnder al quarters of heauen.

These are the generacions of heauen and erth when they were created, in the tyme when the Lord God created heauen & erth

And GOD called the drye lande the erth, and the gatheryng together of waters called he the sea. And God sawe that it was good.

so that they haue gone & serued straung Gods and worshypped them, whether it be the sunne or mone or any thing contayned in heauen which I forbade,

& layed against the sunne, the Mone and all the heauenlye hoste, whom they loued, whome they serued whome they rayne after, whome they soughte & worshypped. They shall nether be gathered together nor buryed, but shall lye vpon the earthe, to theyr shame and despysynge.

but as farre as the heauens are hyer then the earth, so farre do my wayes exceade yours, and my thoughtes yours.

What is he, but he knoweth that the hande of the Lorde made all these?

Then God turned him selfe, and gaue them vp that they shoulde worship the starres of the skye, as it is written in the boke of the Prophetes. O ye of the house of Israell, gaue ye to me sacrifyces and meate offeringes by the space of .xl. yeare in the wildernes?

And strayght waye there was with the aungel a multitude of heauenly souldiours, laudinge God and sayinge:

All the starres of heauen shalbe consumed, & the heauen shall folde together lyke a roll, & all the starres therof shal fall, lyke as the leaues fall from the vynes & fygetrees.

Thou deckest thy self with light, as it were with a garment, thou spredest out the heauen lyke a curtayne.
