And the Lorde appeared vnto hym the same nyght, & sayd: I am the God of Abraham thy father, feare not for I am wyth the, and wyll blesse the, and multiply thy sede for my seruaunt Abrahams sake.
And that same daye the Lorde made a couenaunte with Abram sayinge: vnto thy seed wyl I geue this land, from the riuer of Egypt, euen vnto the greate ryuer Euphrates,
For thys is the testament that I will make wyth the house of Israel: After those dayes sayth the Lorde: I wyl put my lawes in their myndes, and in theyr hertes I wyl wryte them and I wyll be theyr God, and they shall be my people.
But nowe they desyre a better, that is to saye an heauenlye. Wherfor God is not ashamed of them euen to be called theyr God: for he hath prepared for them a cytye.

Then sayd God: Sara thy wyfe shal bere the a sonne in dede & thou shalt cal his name Isaac. And I wyll make my bond with him, that it shalbe an euerlasting bond vnto hys seed after him.
And I wyl take you for my people and wil be to you a God. And ye shall know that I am the Lorde your God, whyche bryng you out from vnder the burdens of the Egyptians.
I wyl therfore remembre vnto them the fyrst couenaunte made, when I brought them out of the Lande of Egypte in the syght of the Heathen to be their God: for I am the Lorde.
For to make the a people vnto him selfe, & that he maye be vnto the a God, as he hath sayde vnto the & he hath sworne vnto thy fathers Abraham, Isaac and Iacob.
And the angell of the Lorde came vp from Galgall to Bocim, and sayde, I broughte you oute of Egypt and haue brought you vnto the lande whiche I sware vnto your fathers. And I sayde that I wolde neuer breake myne appoyntment wyth you,
For I the Lorde, whiche loue right and hate robberye (though it were offred me) shal make their worckes of faithfulnes, and make an euerlastinge couenaunt with them.
The bowe shal be in the cloudes, & I wil loke vpon it, to remembre the euerlastynge testament betwene God & all that lyueth vpon the earth, whatsoeuer fleshe it be.
And yet for all that when they be in the Lande of their enemy, I wyll not so cast them away nor my soule shal not so abhorre them, that I wyll vtterlye destroye theym and breake myne appoyntment with them: for I am the Lord theyr God.
