And Lot lyft vp hys eyes, and beheld al the contry about Iordane, whych was a plentuous contry of water euery wher, before the Lorde destroyed Sodome & Gomorha, euen as the garden of the Lorde, & as the Land of Egypt tyll thou come to Zoar.

And in the playne of Iordan dyd the kynge cast them; euen in the claye of the earth betwene Socoh and Zarthan.

Then Lot chose al the costes of Iordane, and toke his iorney from the east. And so departed the one brother from the other.

so fayre and goodly had I made him wyth the multytude of hys braunches: In so muche that al the trees in the pleasaunte garden of God, had enuye at hym.

The east syde shall ye measure from Haueran and Damascus, from Galead and the lande of Israell by Iordane and so forth, from the sea coast, that lyeth eastwarde: and this is the east parte.
