And I wyll make of the a myghty people, and wyll blesse the, and make thy name greate, that thou maiste be a blessynge.

And I was wyth the in all that thou wentest to, & haue destroyed all thyne enemyes out of thy syght, and haue made the a great name, lyke vnto the name of the great men of the world.

seynge that Abraham shal be a great & a myghtie people, & all the nacions of the erth shalbe blessed in him?

And God sayd vnto hym: I am God almighty, growe & multiplye: for people and a multitude of people shall sprynge of the, yea & kinges shal come out of thy loynes.

And he sayde: I am the myghtie God of thy father, feare not to goo doune in to Egypte. For I wyl make of the a great people.

& wyl multiply thy sede as the stars of heauen, & will gyue vnto thy sede al these contries. And thorow thi sede shal all the nacions of the earth be blessed,

and the Lorde hath blessed my master out of measure, that he is become greate, & hath geuen hym shepe oxen, siluer & golde, men seruantes maydeseruantes, camels and asses.

Vnderstande therfore, that they whiche are of fayth, the same are the chyldren of Abraham.

the chyldren of Israell grewe, encreased multiplied, & waxed exceadyng myghtye: so that the land was full of them.

And I wyll make thy sede, as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can numbre the duste of the earth, then shall thy sede also be numbred.

And he brought him out of the dores, & sayd: loke vp vnto heauen, & tel the stars, if thou be able to numbre them. And said vnto hym: Euen so shal thy sede be.

And thou shalt answere and saye before the Lord thy God: The Syrians wolde haue destroied my father, and he went doune into Egypte and soiourned there with a fewe folcke and grewe there vnto a nacyon greate, mightie and ful of people.

& and nowe therfore suffer me that my wrath may waxe hote vpon them, and that I may consume them and then wyl I make of the a mightye people.

And thy sede shal be as the dust of the earth: and thou shalt spreade abrode: weste, easte, north, and south. And thorowe the and thy sede shal al the kynreds of the earth be blessed.

People be thy seruauntes, & nations bowe vnto the. Be Lord ouer thy brethren, & thy mothers chyldren stoupe vnto the. Curssed be he that curseth the, & blessed be he that blesseth the.

But yet when God destroyed the cyties of the region, he thought vpon Abraham: & sent Lot out from the danger of the ouerthrowinge, when he ouerthrewe the cyties where Lot dwelled.

And he receyued the sygne of circumcysyon, as a seale of the ryghtuousnes whiche is by fayth, whiche fayth he had yet beynge vncyrcumcysed: that he shoulde be the father of all them that beleue, thoughe they be not circumcysed, that ryghtuousnes myght be imputed to them also:

I wyll smyte them wyth the pestilence and destroy them, & wyll make of the a greater nacion & a myghtier then they.

And moreouer the kynges seruauntes went in to blesse oure Lorde Kynge Dauid sayinge: thy God make the name of Salomon more fauoure then thyne, and hys seate more gloriouse then thyne. And the king bowed him selfe vpon the bede.

Thou shalt kepe thy truste wyth Iacob, and thy mercye for Abraham, lyke as thou haste sworne vnto oure fathers longe agoo.

For I know him that he wyl commaunde his chyldren & his houshold after him, that they kepe the way of the Lord, to do after ryght & conscience that the Lord may brynge vpon Abraham that he hath promysed hym.

Abraham was old and stryken in dayes, & the Lorde had blessed him in all thynges.

And after the death of Abraham God blessed Isaac hys sonne, whych dwelled by the well of lyuynge and seynge.

soiourne in thys lande, and I wyll be wyth the, and wyll blesse the: for vnto the, and vnto thy seed, I wil giue al these contryes. And I wyl perfourme the oth which I sware vnto Abraham thy father,

And God sayed vnto Balam: thou shalt not go wt them, neyther curse the people, for they are blessed.

beholde, I haue begone to blesse and haue blessed, and can not goo backe therefro.

He blesseth them, so that they multiplye excedingly, and suffreth not their cattel to decrease.

Good fortune and prosperyte wil I geue them, and vnto all that be rounde aboute my hyll. A prosperous shower and rayne wil I sende them in due season,

And it shall come to passe, that like as ye were a curse amonge the Heathen (O ye house of Iuda & ye house of Israel) Euen so wil I deliuer you, that ye shalbe a blessing: feare not, but let your handes be stronge.

And as concernynge Ismaell also, I haue herde thy request: loo, I wyll blesse hym and encrease hym, and multiplye hym excedyngly. Twelue princes shall he begette and I wyl make a greate nacion of hym.

Of such an vngodly personne as thou, and of the sonne of man that is ryghtuous as thou pretendeste to be:

Consydre Abraham youre father, & Sara that bare you: how that I called him alone prospered hym well, & encreased him:
