And God sayde: see, I haue geuen you al herbes that sowe seed, whyche are on all the erth, & all maner trees that haue frute in them and sowe seed: to be meate for you

And all that moueth vpon the earth hauynge lyfe, shall be your meat: Euen as the grene herbes so giue I you al thinge.

A Psalme of Dauid. The earth is the Lordes, & all that therin is: the compase of the world, & al that dwell therein.

For in him we lyue, moue, and haue our beyng, as certayne of your own Poetes sayd. For we are also hys generacion.

Neuerthelesse he lefte not hym selfe without wytnes, in that he shewed hys benefytes, in geuynge vs rayne from heauen, and fruteful ceasons, fyllyng our hertes with fode and gladnes.

Charge them that are ryche in this worlde shal they be not exceadyng wyse, and that they truste not in the vncertayne ryches, but in the lyuyng God, which geueth vs aboundauntly al thynges to enioy them,

But this woulde she not knowe, where as I yet gaue her corne, wyne, oyle, syluer & gold, whiche she hath hangeth vpon Baal.

He it is, that shall dwell on hye whose sauegarde shalbe in the true rocke, to him shal be geuen the right true meate and drincke.

Which helpeth them to righte that suffre wrong, which fedeth the hongry. The Lord louseth men out of pryson,

Al the whole heauens are the Lordes, but the earth hath he geuen vnto the chyldren of men.

He geueth meat vnto them, that feare him he is euer myndfull of hys couenaunte.

forbyddyng to marye, and commaundynge to abstayne from meates which God hath created to be receyued wyth geuyng thankes, of them which beleue and know the trueth.

And take vnto the of all maner of meate that may be eaten and laye it vp in stoore by the, that it maye be meate bothe for the and for them:
