hys leaues were fayre, he had verye muche frute, so that euerye man had ynough to eate therein. The beastes of the feld had shadowes vnder it, and the foules of the ayre dwelte in the bowes therof. Shortly, all creatures fed of it.

It is lyke a grayne of mustarde seede, whiche a man toke and sowed in hys garden: & it grew and wexed a greate tree, and the foules of the ayre made nestes in the braunches of it.

Namely, vpon the hye hill of Syon wil I plante it: that it may brynge forth twigges, and geue frute, and be a greate Cedre tree: so that all maner of foules maye byde in it, and make their nestes vnder the shadowe of hys braunches.

Res. The verye breth of oure mouth: euen the anoynted Lorde him self shalbe taken in oure synnes, of whom we saye: Vnder his shadowe we shalbe preserued amonge the Heythen.

But of the daye & houre knoweth no man: no not the Aungels whiche are in heauen neyther the sonne him selfe saue the father onelye.

whych is the leest of all seedes. But when it is growen it is the greatest among herbes, & it groweth vp into a tree: so that the byrdes of the ayre come and buylde in the braunches of it.

but after that it is sowen, it groweth vp and is greatest of al herbes and beareth great braunches, so that the foules of the ayre maye dwell vnder the shadowe of it.

for they shall go doune to hell wyth hym, vnto them that be slayne with the swearde, whiche dwelte afore vnder the shadowe of hys arme amonge the Heathen.

& cryed myghtely, sayinge. Hew doune the tre, breake of hys braunches, shake of hys leaues, and scatre hys frute abroade: that all the beastes maye get them awaye from vnder hym, and the foules from his braunches.

He chaungeth the herte of the Princes and Kynges of the earth and disapoynteth them: so that they go wandringe out of the waye,

If a tre be cut downe, there is some hope yet, that it wyll sproute and shute forth the braunches agayne:

getteth the sent of water, yt wyll budde, and brynge forth bowes, lyke as whent it was fyrst planted.
