And they knewe hym that it was he whyche sate and begged at the beutyfull gate of the temple. And they wondred & were sore astonied at that, which had happened vnto hym.

And ther was a certayne man halte from hys mothers wombe, whome they broughte and layed at the gate of the temple called beutifull, to axe almes of them that entred into the temple.

Iesus aunswered: Neyther hath thys man synned nor yet hys father and mother: but that the workes of God shoulde be shewed on him.

For the father loueth the sonne, & sheweth hym all thinges, whatsoeuer he him selfe doeth. And he wyll shewe hym greater workes then these, because ye should maruaile.

And they were all amased at the myghtye power of God. Whyle they wondred euerye one at al thinges, whiche he dyd, he sayde vnto hys discyples:

They were all amased, and woundered saiynge one to another: what meaneth thys?

They wondred all & merueyled sayinge among them selues: Behold are not al these which speake of Galile?

And feare come on them all and they spake amonge them selues saiynge what maner of thinge is this? For with authoryte and power he commaundeth the foule spirites, and they come out.

And when the men of the place had knowlege of him, they sent out into all the country rounde about, & brought vnto him al that were sicke,

The neyghboures and they that had sene him before, how that he was a beggar, sayed: is not thys he that satte & begged.
