vnto whyche promys our .xij. trybes instantlye, seruynge God daie and nighte hope to come. For whiche hopes sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Iewes.

Iames the seruaunte of God and of the Lorde Iesus Christ sendeth gretyng to the twelue trybes whiche are scattered here and there.

She that is a verye wydowe and fryndelesse, putteth her trust in God & contynueth in supplicacyon & prayer nyghte and daye.

whyl we nighte and daye praye excedinglye that we mighte se you presently, and might fulfill that which is lackynge in youre fayth.

yf by anye meanes I myght atteyne vnto the resurreccyon from death.

that ye maye eate and drinke at my table in my kingdome, and syt on seates, and iudge the twelue tribes of Israel.

Iesus sayde vnto them: Verely I saye vnto you: when the sonne of man shall sit in the seate of hys maiestie, yea, which folow me in the second geueracion, shall sitte also vpon .xij. seates, and iudge the .xij. tribes of Israel.

and offered at the dedycacion of the house of God, an hundred calues, two hundred lambes, four hundred goates: and for the synofferinge for all Israell twelue he goates, accordinge to the nombre of the trybes of Israel,

I thinke my selfe happye kynge Agrippa, because I shall aunswere this day before the, of all thinges wherof I am accused of the Iewes,

Therfore awake & remember, that by the space of .iij. yeares I ceased not to warne euerye one of you both night and daye with teares.

And beholde ther was a man in Hierusalem whose name was Symeon. And the same man was iuste and feared God, and longed for the consolacion of Israel and the holye ghost was in him.

Ye that stande in the house of the Lorde, in the courtes of the house of our God.

And the children of the captyuyte, whyche were come out of preson, offered burntofferynges vnto the God of Israel: twelue bullockes for al Israel, syxe and nyntye rammes, seuen and seuentye lambes, & twelue goates for a synofferynge, al to the burntofferynge of the Lorde.

and haue hope towardes God that the same resurreccyon of the dead (which they them selues loke for also) shall be both of iuste and vniuste.

namely because thou art exparte in all customes and questions, which are amonge the Iewes. Wherfore I beseche the to heare me paciently.

For thys cause haue I called for you, euen to se you, and to speake wyth you: because that for the hope of Israell, I am bounde wyth thys chayne.
