Then Paule (after that the ruler him selfe had beckened vnto hym that he should speake) aunswered I shall with a more quyet mynde aunswere for my selfe, for as muche as I vnderstande that thou haste bene of manye yeares a iudge vnto thys people,

Notwithstandyng that I be not tedyous vnto the. I praye the that thou wouldest heare vs of thy curtesy a fewe wordes.

And they are informed of the, that thou teacheste all the Iewes whiche are amonge the gentyls, to forsake Moyses, and sayest, that they oughte not to circumcyse theyr chyldren, neyther to lyue after the customes.

And when he is sett vpon the seate of hys kyngedome, he shal write hym oute thys seconde lawe in a boke takynge a copye of the priestes the Leuites.

I thinke my selfe happye kynge Agrippa, because I shall aunswere this day before the, of all thinges wherof I am accused of the Iewes,

So I toke the euydence with the copye (when it was orderly sealed and read ouer)
