But before all these, they shall laye their handes on you and persecute you, delyueringe you vp to the Synagoges & into pryson, and bringe you before kinges and rulers for my names sake.

Then he came to hym selfe, and sayed: Howe many hyred seruauntes at my fathers haue breade ynough, and I dye for honger,

And thei were fylled full of madnes, and communed one with another, what they might do to Iesus.

But take ye hede to your selues. For they shall brynge you vp to the counsels, and into the synagoges, & ye shall be beaten: ye & shalbe broughte forthe rulers & kynges for my sake for a testimoniall vnto them.

Verely I saye vnto you: al synnes shalbe forgeuen vnto mens children and blaspheme wherwith they blaspheme:

Amonge all thynges that come to passe vnder the Sunne, this is a mysery, that it happeneth vnto all alyke. This is the cause also that the hertes of men are ful of wyckednes, and mad folishnes is in their hertes as longe as they liue, vntyl they dye.

Myne enemyes reuyle me all the daye longe, they laugh me to scorne, & are sworne together agaynst me.
