The same man saw in a vision euydently aboute the ninth houre of the daye, an aungel of God commyng in to hym, and saiyng vnto him: Cornelius.

Peter and Iohn wente vp together into the temple at the nynth houre of prayer.

But the Aungell of the Lorde by nyght opened the prison dores, and broughte them forth, & sayed:

Are they not al ministringe spirites, sent to minister for their sakes, whiche shal be heyres of saluation?

and is more excellente then the Angelles, in as muche as he hath by enheritaunce obteyned an excellenter name then haue they.

For there stode by me this nyght the aungell of God. Whose I am, and whom I serue,

And he shewed vs how he had sene an Angel in hys house, whiche stode and sayed to him. Sende men to Ioppa, and call for Simon named also Peter,

While Peter mused in himself: what this vision, whiche he had sene, meant: beholde, the men whiche were sente from Cornelius had made inquiraunce for Simons house, & stode before the dore.

And ther was a certaine disciple at Damasco, named Ananias, & to hym sayd the Lorde in a vision: Ananias. And he sayd: beholde I am here Lorde.

& he fell to the earth, and hearde a voice saiyng to him: Saul, Saul why persecutest thou me?

And strayght waye there was with the aungel a multitude of heauenly souldiours, laudinge God and sayinge:

And ther appeared vnto hym an Aungell of the Lorde standynge on the ryght syde of the altare of incense.

And aboute the ninthe houre Iesus cryed with a loude voice sayinge: Eli Eli lama sabathani. That is to saye, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

& that for Iacob my seruauntes sake and for Israel my chosen. For I called the by thy name, & ordened the or euer thou knewest me:

And the Lord sayd vnto Moses: I wyll do thys also that thou hast sayde, for thou hast founde grace in my syghte, and I knowe the by name.

In the euenynge, mornyng and at noone daye will I mourne and complayne: and he shall heare my voyce.

On the morow as they wente on theyr iourneye, and drewe nye vnto the cytie, Peter wente vp into the toppe of the house to praye about the .vi. houre.
