And Dauid aunswered Rechab and Baanah hys brother, the sonnes of Reman the Berothite, and sayde vnto them: as surelye as the Lorde lyueth whiche hath delyuered my soule out of all aduersites:

Let them geue thankes whome the Lord hath redemed, & deliuered from the hande of the enemye.

When the righteous crye, the Lorde heareth them, & delyuereth them out of all theyr troubles.

And the kinge sware sayinge: As sure as the Lorde (that had ryd my soule oute of all aduersyte) lyueth,

And the augell which hath delyuered me from al euyll, blesse these laddes: that they may be called after my name, and after my father Abraham and Isaac, and that they may growe & multiplye vpon the erth.

Which saueth thy lyfe from destruccion, and crouneth the with mercy, and louynge kyndnesse.

My lippes wolde fayne singe prayses vnto the: and so wolde my soule, whom thou hast deliuered.

The Lorde deliuereth the soules of hys seruauntes, and all they that put their truste in hym, shall not offende.

Thus he saued them from the hand of the hater, and delyuered them from the hande of the enemye.

Nowe thys Sauls sonne had two men that were become captaynes ouer the soudyars, the one called Baanah and the other Rechab, the sonnes of Remon a Berothite, and of the chyldren of Beniamin: for Beroth was rekened to pertayne to Beniamin.

Drawe nye vnto my soule, & saue it: Oh deliuer me because of myne enemyes.

And as thy lyfe was muche set by in the thys tyme in myne eyes: so be my lyfe in the eyes of the Lorde, that he delyuer me out of all trybulacyon.
