And Ionathas Sauls sonne had a sonne that was lame on hys fete: fyue yeare olde was he when the tydynges came of Saul and Ionathas out of Iesrahel. And hys nource toke hym vp and fled awaye. And as she made hast to flee and was amased, the chylde fell and became halte and was calleth Miphiboseth.

Then sayd the kynge: remayneth there yet any man of the kynred of Saul, whom I may shewe the mercye of God vpon? And Zibah sayde vnto the kynge: Ionathas hath yet a sonne whiche is lame on both fete.

And the sonne of Iehonathan, was Meribbaal. And Meribbaal begat Micah,

And the sonnes of Iehonathan was Meribbaal and Meribbaal begat Micah.

Nowe when Miphiboseth the sonne of Ionathas the sonne of Saul was come vnto Dauid, he bowed hym selfe, and fel on hys face. Then sayde Dauid: Miphiboseth? And he aunswered: Behold thy seruaunt.

And so Dauid and hys men rose erlye to departe in the mornynge, and to returne into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went vp to Iesrahell.

The Philistines gethered all their hostes together vnto Apher. And Israell pitched by a fountayne in Iesrahel.

But the kinge hath compassion on Miphiboseth the sonne of Ionathas, the sonne of Saul, because of the Lordes othe that was betwene them, that is to saye betwene Dauid, and Ionathas the sonne of Saul.

And Miphiboseth dwelt in Ierusalem, for he ate euer at the kynges table, and was therto hault on both legges.

And this Hadad fled and certen other Edomites of his fathers seruauntes with him, to go to Egypt Hadad beyng yet a lytle lad.
