And how much more ought I so to deale with weked men that haue slayne a ryghtuouse person in hys owne house vpon hys bed. Now therfore thynke ye that I wyll not requyre hys bloude of youre handes and take you from the earth?

not as Cayn, which was of the wicked & slewe his brother. And wherfore slewe he him? Because his own workes were euyll, and his brothers good.

But thou O Lorde my God, my holy one thou arte from the begynnynge, therfor shall we not dye. O Lorde, thou hast ordened them for a punyshment, and set them to reproue the myghtye.

for the lawe is toarne in peces, and there can no ryghte iudgemente go forthe. And why? the vngodly is more set by then the rightuous: this is the cause, that wronge iudgemente procedeth.

A ryghtuous man falling down before the vngodlye, is like a troubled wel & a spring that is destroyed.

but the vngodly shalbe roted oute of the lande, and the wicked doers shalbe taken out of it.

Let them alway be before the Lorde, but as for the memoryall of them selues, let it perysh from out of the earth.

And the Lorde brynge hys bloude vpon his owne heade, for he smote two men ryghteouser and better then he, and slue them with the swearde, my father vnwetynge: euen Abner the sonne of Ner capitayne of the hoste of Israel, and Amasa the sonne of Iether captayne of the hoste of Iuda.

And I am thys daye tender, thoughe I be anoynted kyng. And these men the sonnes of Zaruiah be to good for me to rule? But the Lorde rewarde the doer of euyll accordynge to hys wyckednesse.

And when Abner was come agayne to Hebron, Ioab toke hym a syde in the gate, to speake wyth hym gylefully, & there smote hym vnder the short rybbes that he dyed, for the bloud of Asahel hys brother.

He that smiteth a man that he dye shalbe slain for it.

For nowe I wyl stretch out my hand & wil smite the & thy people with pestelence: so that thou shalt perysh from the earth.

Thus was destroyed al that was vpon the erth, both man, beastes, wormes and foules of the ayre, so that they were destroyed from the erth: saue Noe was reserued onlye and they that were with him in the arck.

Than sayde God to Noe: the ende of all flesh is come before me, for the erth is full of their myschefe. And lo, I wyl destroye them with the erth.

And now curssed be thou as pertaining to the erth, whyche opened her mouth to receyue thy brothers bloude of thyne hande.

The lord hath brought vpon the all the bloude of the house of Saul, in whose stede thou hast raygned, and he hathe delyuered the kyngedome into the hand of Absalom thy sonne. And thou art wrapped aboute wt thyne owne myscheue, because thou arte a bloudesheder.
